Our best players keep tanking in the final that’s why we don’t have it yet.

Strange we still make it when we sell our best players.

Nice to see my posts are still being read by someone who claims to have a block list of 26 but doesn’t use it
Might come as a surprise, but i usually treat regulars slightly different than some random trolls. I list them, have a look if it improves ( might be just a bad period, who knows) if yes - unlist them again, if not - keep them listed.
But i never even bother looking at what listed full time trolls like (for example) Kulenkulela write. Forever listed and no fucks given.

Btw. Ask @GordoDeCentral what he thinks about the idiocy of repeating the same mistake (aka selling your best players year in year out) over and over again and expecting different results to come with it.

You reach the CL final.
You lose.

What do you do to win it next year?

A. You improve your team by adding quality.
B. You sell your best players (...again)

What do? The answer should be simple.

We might be a machine but the only well oiled part is our anus

And football clubs are not the same as businesses because clubs are not about profit, but about bouncing your revenue right back at the market (invest in squad etc), to gain more revenue and repeat. Buy players, have some success, attract bigger sponsors, afford better players, attract better TV deal, upgrade players again, get better sponsorship, upgrade players again. We aren't climbing this ladder because we are refusing to use our superior revenue on upgrading our squad. We will inevitably stagnate and decline both financially and footballwise. We've been stagnating already and the decline is beginning right now.

Stick me back on that trusty ignore list of yours and stick to your word. Could care less what you think of regulars because now that I’ve seen this side of you as a member you are no different than Turk, Cron, etc.

Likewise, since I doubt you don’t really care what I think of you anyway, I’ll simply return the favor.

Any why include X, does his opinion somehow matter more because he is a Mod? I already knows where he stands on the issue and he knows where I stand. We have stood on our respective side of the fence for a couple years now on how the club is run.

I’ll choose option:

C. Let the board run the club how they deem necessary to remain competitive*

(i.e. competitive: consistent domestic champions and protagonists in Europe)

If clubs are not about profit then why is the argument being thrown out that we are a selling club only worried about profit?

I don't understand how selling your best players is a good or sound business model. You can't keep replacing your best players and hoping for the best; eventually, your luck will run out. Also, consistency is quite an underrated commodity around these parts. The reason we struggle every year is because it takes time for the newbies to integrate, and one of those seasons, we won't have that luxury because some other team will be raping the league, and we might get a horrible CL group and get eliminated early. We are playing with fire, and people who can't see this are clearly delusional.

There's also a thing known as "healthy debt." Business can use debt to finance their business.

If we keep selling our best players, marketing opportunities, shirt sales, etc... will eventually decrease as well. No one wants to be a Sturaro jersey; he's irrelevant, a footnote in the world of professional football. Every young kid aspires to be like Messi, CR7, Neymar, Mbappe, and Dybala. I highly doubt anyone is gonna grow up saying "Oh my. This Accidental Footballer is so hard working and committed but sucks; I wanna be like him." Better players entail better results, thus attracting sponsors and expanding your viewer base. Simple shit really.

I wanted to be like Edgar Davids, mostly for his fighting spirit and aura of cool, not everyone falls in love with Messi.

I'm not saying Juve only cares about profit. Even if we assume they don't, still that money is aiding our transfer budget technically. As I said we've barely overspent in the past couple of seasons if not at all. Where is all the money going ? The next argument would be wages. But Bonucci extended last December and got sold in the summer so how exactly are we supporting the purpose ? Juve don't force players to stay because we run a risk free business and they would surely would not refuse if any additional revenue came their way in form of sales. This is Buffon's last year and even he knows we have weakened. This is why the club should stop selling fake dreams to fans. We will try to be competitive but clearly we are really not as obsessed about winning CL as some other clubs are.

Re-read my post and stop jumping at conclusions. I said our revenue has been bloated lately by big sales. Undeniable. We posted €550M revenues due to revenue from Pogba and Morata sales. But this has come at the expense of losing key players. What wrong did I say ? Our model right now is similar to Atlético/Arsenal where sales of key players have aided our budget and it's not because we're broke. And I have highlighted that if we continue along this trend , sooner or later we'll stagnate like Atlético or Dortmund. No sir, you're the idiot who believes in fairytales and think that recycling the squad every year will make us win the CL.
I don't understand your obsession with that revenue. You know revenue is worth shit if your net income is below zero, right? Morata is another missed example as we had no word in his sale. We had other than financial reasons to sell Bonucci, Vidal and Pogba. Bar the latter, one can say we sold them under their value which might be interpreted as we got rid of them. We also received offers for Dybala and Sandro yet we turned them down. Is Bayern a selling club because they let Kroos go to Madrid? No, they decided they will not give him the money he requested so they sold him, simple story. Marotta himself said that recycling the squad is essential to maintain the hunger to win. Those who don't want to be here should go, I share the position of the club.

Yes, I can see Atletico win against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge. If Roma, who's neither perfect this season, almost beat them why a much more experienced team like ATM couldn't do it?
Cause Chelsea beat Atletico in Spain just couple of weeks ago....

Atletico cant even beat Qarabağ.
