Allegri threw on Mandzukic for Moratta and because of that Bayern's defence advanced a further 20 yards up the pitch giving them control.

At least if he put Zaza on he could still counter attack and not allow the defence to be so high up.

You clearly didn't watch either fucking match. In the first match we obviously got out of our half considering in the first 20 minutes we had more attempts on goal than Bayern did. In the second match Morata was utterly run into the ground which is why he was subbed. It's why both of his counters in the second half he ran out of steam and basically passed the ball to Neuer with his shots. Both the extra time goals scored by Bayern were because we were attacking, but were absolutely gassed. Coman scored on a counter, not because we were parking the bus. You forget Lichtsteiner's great chance in ET, and Mandzu had a fantastic chance he fluffed. Bonucci had two chances in the box and even Sturaro missed one. We had 5 great chances in Extra time, but yeah we were parking the bus still.
