:D

They'll be back next year, lets not kid ourselves.

But I guess we can enjoy seeing him on thursday evenings this year at least :D
I am sure they will be back, I have actually tipped them for the title for at least two years in a row. The shot felt appropriate at the moment though.

Who do you think is going to miss out? Arsenal, Pool or Spurs?
IMO, Chelsea, City and Arsenal will make it with Spurs or United sneaking in the last spot.
(It'd be great to see the EPL fight for CL spots once the number of teams qualifying goes down to 3.)

Hope Pogba not enjoy his Manchester reunion and let his contract run out and then return here!
Anyway Man Utd are now favourites to the EL but I still doubt they`ll win it...

This new system is far superior to the previous one. League winners and CL winner gets 1st pot thats more than fair.

Were winning this guys
some leagues are worth more than others and thats not reflected in the system. Top of La liga is by no means the same as top of any other league. 3rd place la liga with barely any points difference is for me more important than winning Russian league or coming second in any other league. Also Cl performance should have a weight in deciding who gets seeded as 1st pot and who doesnt. ATM has been nothing short of spectacular in europe and has done so not as a result of lucky draws (like madrid last season) but on merit of defeating big teams throughout for many seasons. You can have a system where the performance of teams in european competitions from your league in the last 2 seasons gives significant weight to how much finishing top 4 for your league counts towards your seeding.

A fair system for me would give more weight to La liga over any other league and would give weight to CL performances in the last few years. I am not advocating the old system or the new.

You need to reward Champions of something at least, not crooks like Arsenal. The new seeding system is definitely better, otherwise we'd have Sevilla in the first seed.

We always manage to sneak in top four, even when we had an absolutely shitty team between 2010-2012, so I doubt we'll miss out now. We still have the 4th strongest squad in the league.

Of course predictions could change between now and the end of the transfer market, but as things stand right now, I think we'll sneak fourth place, while the top 3 places will be between Chelsea, Utd and City.

You have to remember its the Champions League. It only makes sense to have the actual champions of the leagues to atleast be featured in pot 1. You qualify to this tournament by doing well in your league or winning the CL itself. It only makes sense to reward the winners of these competitions.

In UCL 2018 top 4 league will have 4 teams directly into the group stage... SO we are gonna be the first team with two teams in UCL, forza Sassu

I've been saying this should be the case for years now. It's pretty damn stupid that they split it down to 3 teams after the 3rd league.

The massive drop-off in UEFA coefficients has almost always begun below the 4th league. Over 5 seasons, the UEFA coefficients for Spain-Italy-England-Germany are almost always in that 75-85 point range (Spain being crazy high of late, usually around 90-100 points)...

Whereas after these 4 leagues the drop off to France, Russia, Portugal is massive, as these leagues rarely go over about 55 points for 5 seasons.

It really never made sense to exclude one of the top 4 leagues from having 4 teams. It was pretty much ridiculous.

4 teams 2018! :weee:

Completely Agree.

And in Sassu case, our youngster are gonna be able to get UCL experience. Now Beppe would need to assemble two teams UCL-level

I have a feeling UEFA are doing this as a sweetener for the top 4 leagues to hold off on forming a Super League. They probably see that the EPL might drop down to fourth in the rankings, and also Milan and Inter (who suck absolute balls, but are still massive clubs in a huge TV market) now have a better chance of making it back into Europe. I agree though, it should have always been 4 teams for the top 4 leagues.
