How would the Super League even work, man.. logistically. Teams on international flights every two-weeks and shit?
Yep. Pretty much.

They manage to do it on a much bigger distance (in terms of distances) in the Super Rugby league. They have teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa competing. And Japan from next year.

Dude, the NHL does it across North America. So does MLS here. The teams that would make up the super league would have a smaller geographical footprint than that. Plus NHL teams play on average 3 games a week.

It really wouldn't be hard, with regards to travel, at all.

So very big news for Serie A. But surely the top 4 teams from the top 4 leagues all qualify automatically? Would that mean an extended CL? I hope not.
It's actually only about big clubs like Bayern, Real, Barca or Juventus to automatically qualify every year so they are guaranteed access to the money. It's only to ensure profit. It would also render it impossible for smaller clubs to play in the Super league. In Austria, for example, only one team may qualify for the Champions League. I doubt we would keep this spot with the Super League implemented. While it may be annoying for many to see teams like Nordsjaelland in the CL, I think it's wrong to take away the chance and perspective to qualify for the biggest European competition from them. Less soul. More money.

To me, it seems like UEFA are making sure they stay in the good books of the big leagues, as they are scared of a potential Super League. Also, the EPL is precariously close to losing the 3rd spot in the rankings, this way they are guaranteed to have their big four clubs in the CL.

Definitely. :agree: But I wonder that will happen to the spots of the smaller leagues. I think for the time being this will only mean an expanded CL.

Expanded CL really doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Unlike EURO's, this runs for an entire season so there shouldn't be much of a problem expanding it.

Having the 4th league being handed a 4th CL spot might ruin the insensitive for the league to get better. It's maybe the only downside, but a significant one.
