Germany lead against both Netherlands and Czechs. Ended up not winning either. Rewatch the game highlights. Against Czech imo Kahn could have done better with the goals. Against Netherlands, fair enough, RVN poacher goal.
But some other top keeper would have made a reaction save.

I dont think tough groups is excuse. Euros always had tough groups till they expanded it. Italy and Spain went also home.
Nistelrooy goal was class, Kahn made that step to cover the near post at the exact moment Ruud made the shot. he cauht him on the wrong foot, nothing he could have done. the FK he could have saved imo, but the 1v1 with Baros he stopped the 1st shot with his foot, but the ball went back to Baros, so a bit unlucky there. regardless, it wasnt because of him that they went out, they should have beaten Latvia, whcih the Dutch and Czech did

Actually, I just saw a video that makes me think of an even more awesome ending. Buffon winning it with the last penalty of the shootouts.

This Seven, he is a true trooper, whoever he support farts daisies and rainbows. He was 100% sure, publically atleast, that Belgium would win the euros, says all you need to know of his fanhood M.O ;)

No. I was 100% sure Belgium had a chance. I think they have a chance to win the WC too. They have that sort of quality. But they're not favorites.

Juve are different though. The only team that comes close is Bayern and they're pretty much out. As things stand, we're favorites by far.

Crazy jinxing going on in this thread. Scary shit. I'm not sure how we are favourites over Real or Atletico. We definitely should be over Monaco. Assuming the teams in better position to qualify for semis all win. Honestly though, it's a toss up, regardless of who progresses at this point. Every single team has weaknesses and has poor stretches of form this season and patches where they look unbeatable. Aside from LC.

But, I infinitely prefer Seven's confidence to the endless shit-posting that goes on here about our "pussy tactics" and "cowardly play" and "terrible performances" that mean we will get destroyed by the first good team we will come up against. :p

We're favorites over Real because in recent years we've routinely beaten them and we're every bit as cynical as they are, while we play better. Unfortunately they have Ronaldo and Extra Time Man, but that doesn't mean I don't favour us over them.

Atletico are simply not as good as us. And the measly 1-0 victory against a piss poor English team says as much.
