We keep Bonucci and Chiellini, but sell our future in Romero and then Demiral
4 players in De Ligt , Demiral, Romero and Chiellini we will be set for at least 5-6 years and we only need to find a replacement once Chiellini retire
I don't know what the management saw in Bonucci, but if there is chance to oflload him that should be the priority

Wanted him gone last year, but this renewal is a no-brainer. Good to see us give him a chance to play the world cup. He should be a bench option this season though. Need to invest in a replacement this summer or the next.
Staying fit is a challenge for him though. He's played less than half the number of minutes Bonucci has in the past three seasons. A cursory glance suggests that if I include couple of seasons before that, the gap will increase. I think we'll see De Ligt and Bonucci as our starters and Chiellini as first change with a few starts here and there.
He had great performances during Euros. He proved he can still offer quality. Our defense is bad enough having Bonucci. I don't mind one bit having Chiellini stay, he's a club legend imo and he's a better player than these new kids popping up. We've got much important issues to focus on, rather than fixing our DC position. Our budget seems tinny and majority of money should go towards new mids. Selling Chiellini and searching a new DC wouldn't make much sense at this point.
rugani with his unbelievable contract, that's an other matter. now we should have 4 of de ligt, chiellini, bonbon, romero and demiral, and rugani should be nowhere near the club.

I might have exaggerated when I said majority. But it's not some. Chiellini made plenty of mistakes in the previous season, possibly most from our defense.
