I would pay to see the looks on the faces of everyone who thinks that this combination will be a failure when the results start coming in.
I predict a semi-final in the 2010 World Cup. Not the final, because England lack quality and Capello hasn't got the balls to gamble. That's an advantage when you're trying to win a league, but a flaw if you're aiming for a cup.

Based on what you predict that? He can surely qualify to the World Cup no doubt, but saying he can make the semi-final is too much. World Cup isn't la liga or Serie A. You need to have balls, something that man hasn't.

I can name couple of matches or more when Lippi had the balls and took soo many risks from Australia to Germany and France. He isn't Lippi, so I don't really see this man going for more than 2nd round, unelss he's really lucky like what Cassano called him.

I am genuinely worried that England could achieve something with him in charge.

Hopefully he won't start well and the media will get onto him nice and early.

as much as i hate capello for his usage of the booooooooorrrrrrrrring 4-4-2 system, i'm pretty sure he will do a great job. lippi has balls thats true but capello has the ability to get respect from his players and he def does'nt care about names as much as he cares about there preformance on the pitch. there are tonnes of examples to go with this. not to mention what the english team lacks is living in the real world.

i cant really say how far he would go but i wont be surprised if he went far into accomplishing sth.

the supporters, well i think capello does'nt really care about them, i mean i remeber even with juventus the fans would swear at him and he would just act as if he is deaf, we even witnessed that last season when he was at madrid, he does'nt care about the supporters that much he already knows they hate him heaps.

would be interesting thou to see how he handles the press, i think if he wins games they will be happy and content, i doubt the style of playing is the most that worries them at the moment.

The implication of this move puts a smile on my face. He is bringing 4 Italian's with him as well, 3 of whom have followed him to every job.

Alot of people are swallowing their pride in England right now. Although the second 1 of their players takes a dive the arrogant English media will blame it on all of the above.

Im sure it would be very interesting.Id back Capello to get results out of this english team.Unlike the former manangers England has had,Capello will be a lot more tyrannical. The media wont screw him over they way they did Erikkson. He'd obviously be like a dictator, but that means that he'd be able to do things his own way.His tactics will be boring,he might even end up pissing some players off,but he will turn England from an unachieving bunch of twats to a well oiled machine that despite having only one gameplan, will ram out results. And im sure what the English care about right now is the resulsts, not the manner in which they are acheived.Capello may not be as good as he used to be,but he still pretty damn good, and he's good enough to do well with the english NT.

With NT teams you get very little time to create a good team. Capello has proven that he doesn't need much time, he made winning teams in his first year everywhere he went.

England 2010 world champions or thereabouts, in the end England might fall short in the quality department.

Lippi won the wc based on good organisation and defensive strength mostly. Both are area's where Capello excells.

This could easily go either way. Hopefully Capello will learn that you can't polish a turd.

BTW, I'm amazed the English FA allowed him to have his own all-Italian staff.

Oh, I didn't know we were supposed to come forward with a hypothesis based on previous resuls.

Besides, you simply stole my argument, you copycat.
