Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller and Sepp Maier and a few others is the reason Bayern became the club it is today, starting from the mid/late 60's and up to the 70's. And no wonder West Germany became European Champions and World Champions when you look at that talent pool they had in the 70's.

That talent pool was something else. Then you had Karl Heinz Rummenigge (was mostly in the 80's though) and Paul Breitner a little who also played a big part.
