I don't see why this suprises anyone. Do you really expect Juve to go out and sign big names every year? They rarely do. Juve's first mission has always been to be financially responsible. This may not make the fans happy because it isn't very sexy but it does seem to work.
But still every year people expect Moggi to think he works for Real Madrid and buy this guy and that guy when its never going to happen.

Juve aren't going to go out and spend big money. They won't pay more for a player then they think he is worth. This is why they are one of the only Serie A squads that isn't now or wasn't millions in debt. It may not make for the best club next season, but I do think it is best for the team in the long term to be tight with the pocketbook.

Camo is a better ball player than Rommedahl is, even though im not that impresses by camo.
As a winger, i find dribbling, passing and crossing the most important skills, wich Rommedahl doesnt posses. Zebina can both be played in central and on the right, he is tall, big, fast and strong.
Arent the choice obvious.
I really want to say that the danes haves great footballers, because im myself is a dane. But there only a few players i consider really good in the Danish NT, and thats Krøldrup, Claus Jensen og Poulsen (all 3 are reserves :groan

I absolutely agree. And if you look at AC Milan last year, they hardly signed any monster players and yet look at the results they got?
Kaka turned out to be compared with the all-time greats already, relegating Rui Costa to the bench. Pancaro and Cafu, who were considered too old and washed up to be that effective anymore, had excellent seasons and were in a good part responsible for some of Milan's tremendous success.
You sometimes can do a lot with smart, targeted trades that fall under the radar of the blockbuster deal (many of which turn out to be expensive exercises in over-billing and disappointment).

Zebina was a member of an excellent Roma defence, but individually he wasn't that brilliant, actually he was far from it. He's a decent performer with a few impressive qualities, but what is the most notable quality that he will add to this Juve squad? Apart from youth it's pace, and Rommedahl has that in abundance. I'm not saying that I would like to see Rommedahl in black and white next season because I wouldn't, but Zebina? Please. If you want a back-up defender who can offer a bit of pace and versatility, Zebina's your man simply because he's young and free, but we conceded 50+ goals in Serie A last season FFS and Zebina isn't going to fix that problem.
im not particulary impressed the signings thus far, but the way i see it is that they have been free, and with the money running a lil low this summer, its important to change the team in this manner.
zebina, most likely bonera and even kapo are not key players for capello. they will be back ups. the likes of montero, iuliano, ferrara and even pessotto will most likely not be there next season under capello. so we do need back ups as well as quality players.
and the summer transfer has barely started.
we have been linked to quality players and we have been linked to overrated or older players who wont do jack shit.
but lets just wait and see at the end of the summer. no point in criticising moggi and the club until its all over done with.

I don't really think that you can compare us to Milan on this occasion because Milan didn't need to sign big, now did they? They went into the 03-04 season as holders of the CL with a very strong, well balanced squad capable of repeating their European success. Their defence boasted house-hold names such as Nesta and Maldini, but they still reinforced with Cafu and Pancaro. No big signings necessary there. In midfield Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Ambrosini and Rui Costa remained. Once more, no monster players necessary. They took a risk on Kaka and it paid off, but you gotta admit, this Juve team is so much weaker than the 02-03 AC Milan squad. The Rossoneri had just done the double, they didn't need to sign big, but us on the other hand finished trophyless and have to go through the qualifying stages of the CL. We need change.
i agree with stu here.milan,while they had a bad season in serie a two seasons ago,they did manage to win CL and the coppa.their failures domestically we due least of all to a bad squad.in fact they had,and still have,one of the best squads in the world.their problems were,obviously,not to be solved with urgent signings to fill gaps in the team,simply because there were none.
whereas in juve it is as clear as anything that we need defenders and a new attacking dimension.i'm not neccesarily asking for big name players,but we're not even getting anyone worth noting,or even signing a young player who might turn out to be the next kaka.olivier kapo?please

Our transfer is really boooring....look at perugia .. they might not won anything but their president always thinks of ways to entertain they fans with transfers....they are the first in Europe to sign Asian players..the first team to field a royalty in a top flight professional game...and he even try his best to field a woman into the team just for the sake of it... who cares if your team relegated or bankrupted... entetaining transfers is more importaant isnt it..
I sensed a change when we got Capello & thought we would overhaul most pf the team. But it seems after he looked at the available players then he may have been satisfied with what he has. Admittently we are not a circus event every transfer period but I feel we may have finally turned the corner by realising that we sucked last season & appointing Capello. A couple of good players will definitely add to our strength, priorities .... Defense & mid no doubt but this song has been sung ad infinitum.
