You are correct offcourse.
Average age of the squad doesent effect the long term future of the club, as long as it is skewed towards the defense.
Earlier this summer you taught me, that resale value doesent matter as long as the player is good enough, and the price of a player doesent matter as long as we have the money. Afterall it not our money so who the hell cares.
I am learning so much about financial management of a football club from reading your posts.
You're just purposefully ignoring all evidence to the contrary. Our defensive line is old. The average age of our midfield and attack is around 27-28. Not old at all.
Defenders play longer. As evidenced by the fact we have Barza, Chiello, Evra, Alves all at/near world class levels at 33+ years old.
Buffon was a top 3 keeper in the world the last 2 years at 37-39.
So seeing as we have Bonucci (29), Benatia (29), Rugani (23), Sandro (25), we have 4 defenders with a good 5+ years left already. An entire starting 3 set of CBs currently under 30... And a LB under 30. These players are all starter quality. And mean our back line is entirely set for post Barza, Chiello, Evra. We need a RB and a young keeper, that's it, as far as starting defenders go over the next couple years.
Our midfield is set with Khedira (29), Marchisio's (29), Pjanic (26), Asamoah (27), Lemina (22), Sturaro (23), Mandragora (19).
Our attack is Higuain (28), Dybala (22), Pjaca (21), Mandzu(30)
The fact you think this team is old and hasn't already begun being renewed is fucking hilarious. And stop giving this shit about our player's age next summer. It's not next summer. We will obviously be bringing in 3-4 new players next summer, as is the case even in our slowest summer Mercatos. So giving the age of our team next summer is disingenuous and basically irrelevant until we finish that Mercato.
Nonsense that our team is too old and in danger because of it
