What a disgrace that was. Does defending exist anymore?
I don't know how much this 3 man defense wil work going forward... maybe it owuld work better with Cannavaro as central defender with Chellini and Barz on the sides but Maggio was a disaster today on the wing so thats another concern. Prandelli HAS to call up Cannavaro, its an absoulute MUST!

This was by far our worst showing since the 2010 world cup disaster and our worst under Prandelli.... Lots of work and growth to improve if we are to be a top contener in Brazil.

Typical shit, early group performance. At least they got a point, which is a good sign. Prandelli should really just develop the 3-5-2 to use against certain teams, 4-3-3 is more his bread and butter and the safe option.

Does Italy have the players for a 4-3-3?

Buffon
Abate - Barzagli - Chiellini - Balzaretti
De Rossi - Pirlo - Marchisio
Balotelli - Pazzini/Osvaldo - Giovinco

I still think Italy can play well with the 3-5-2, just everyone played like shit yesterday. Not just the wingbacks.

Give giach a more attackling role and push giovinco to the right.
