Exactly. It has nothing to do with Estonia.

Wasnt Andy the one laughing of the argument that La Liga is a shitty league because there are teams like Almeria there? When some people downplayed Messi because he played in La Liga Andy was the first one to jump on it. What's the difference here?
I think the difference here is that you're pulling globs of something out of your ass, and you don't know what it is yet.

No, what is the difference?
Person 1: Praises Barcelona for playing great football against Almeria
Person 2: Almeria is shit though
Andy: It's not about Alemeria, Barcelona plays amazing.

Person 1: Italy played great today
Andy: :lol2: It's frickin Estonia!
Person 1: It's not about Estonia, it's about the play.

Yes it does. They may be striving to play like Spain, but almost anybody could put in a possession display similar to Spain against Estonia... without even trying to do so. I know what the Azzurri are trying to do, but lets see them do it against a better side, like France for instance. Would they come out to say they are trying to adopt a style similar to Spain if they had drawn this match? Probably not. So it's just another wankfest.
What about Germany? I guess that doesn't count for some reason as yet undetermined.

Either way, it's always hilarious to see you in bitching here after every Italy game.

Where did I praise Barca against Almeria? I was simply arguing that Messi would still score a bunch of goals in Serie A, which he would. You don't need to lie about this.

What's the difference? Uhh, well not just because Estonia is like the equivalent of a Serie C side and my point doesn't consist of lies. Start there.

You are just reaching for reasons to be negative Andy, not gonna indulge you. But no one overhyped Azzurri, not Pirlo, just said a style the team is trying to develop. Nothing more.

You get my point. You defended Barcelona and Real Madrid. You didn't agree with La Liga teams being shitty but you pointed out that Real and Barcelona plays too well.

It's funny seeing you defending Barcelona in the other threads while attacking Azzurri in this though :D

What's funny is all this Spain talk that will inevitably set Italy up for failure. That's what will be causing ME to laugh my ass off.

As I said, if Italy didn't get a result today, there would be no mention of Spain. None. Nada. They wouldn't want to mention that as they would look even more foolish than they already do.

You already did "indulge" me, actually. I'm not trying to be negative, not at all. It's just funny to see all this Spain talk when you and I both know they will come up short in emulating their play and success. You really think Pirlo would come out to say they're trying to play like Spain after a draw with Estonia? I can't see it, that would be too funny.

No, I don't get your point. You aren't even telling the fucking truth here.

Gabbiadini scored. Lineup was: Viotti; Donati, Caldirola, Capuano, Crescenzi; Saponara, Marrone, Rossi, Fabbrini; Borini, Gabbiadini

What to notice is where Fausto Rossi is playing, not winger or such, but in CM pair with Marrone. As the regista, from match reports he is playing pretty well.

Try taking in some information instead of repeating regurgitated crap; the style of the performance, and those before, was reminiscent of how the Spanish play. No need to jump to conclusions about Italy setting themselves up and how they might fail in the future, not relevant and personal preference. The only person who looks foolish here is you in this thread with your shameless trolling, but it isn't the first time and it certainly won't be the last

I actually watched the interview after the game and it wasn't Pirlo (or Pazzini who was sitting next to Pirlo in the interview) who brought up the Spain comparison, it was something the interviewer asked them.

Pirlo and Pazzini both said they are AIMING to play like Spain and admire that style of football and wish to emulate it, but Spain are on another planet at the moment.

Again, context.
