Similar stuff is said every four years, I don't really pay attention to it. Sides can change quite a lot in two years of international football and you can never discount talent. Next year, will someone beat an in-form Spain? Probably not. But that doesn't mean a smaller nation can't make the final.
Mark my words...:seven: spain is on a decline

I give spain 2 to 4 years more, almost all their players are at the peak of their careers and some of them like Fabregas, Iniesta, Ramos, Casillas (who is not even 30) still have a long way to go before going in decline.

Once Xavi can't run the team they won't be early as effective, obviously. Not even Cesc can replace him. Same goes for Barca. So that will be good.

With a good coach both Croatia and Serbia can go far. They just need to get their act together, which is apparently tough for them.

Yeah, other than Xavi and Puyol, their best players are pretty young. They'll probably dominate for a while.

I do hope some obscure team wins the Euro though.

Group D ftw. The race for second place is so tight.

Spain will probably contest the final of Euro 2012.

I think the main challengers for the title besides them are obviously Germany and the Netherlands. Italy/France/Portugal are all on the next level IMO.

England are just LOL.

Lol, I hear what you're saying but England would beat both Italy and France for sure. Probably even Portugal.

When have all the favorites ever managed to finish 1-2-3 in a tournament? I can't remember any World Cup or Euro where that happened.

The chances of Spain, Holland and Germany finishing that way are probably less than 5%.

They ended in that order but they weren't the favorites.

Well, Spain were and probably Germany. But i remember Brazil being the main favorite with Spain, the Netherlands were nowhere to be seen yet they kicked out Brazil and went to the final.

Holland and Germany weren't in the top three favorites. According to the bookies Spain, Brazil and England were, then Argentina, if I remember correctly.

They were for me  Go look at my World Cup album and my prediction.

I was just stating the coincidence though, Netherlands should never be a favorite among the bookies.
