i don't know every artist on that list, but ac/dc, queen, coldplay, robbie williams, deep purple, pink floyd, europe, h-blockx and ellie goulding are certainly not american, just to name a few.

it's a meh playlist nevertheless. jump, smoke on the water, an other brick in the wall, highway to hell are the most played tunes of these bands. i often listen to these bands, and i always skip these songs when they show up on my random playlist.
Whaaaaaaaat? The Wall is an amazing album, and Freddie Mercury is one of the greatest singers ever. What would you listen to there then?

i said that i do listen these bands a lot, but those songs mancini picked are probably the most overplayed ones from them.

i'm not a coach, nor an experienced team builder, so i'm not the best guy to compile a playlist, but i'd probably try to avoid overplayed songs. for instance, van halen's right now, hot for teacher or queen's don't stop me now, headlong or stone cold crazy are equally good as the selected ones, and those won't be unknown to anyone who has ever listened to these bands.

When everyone is fit you can have a good midfield with Verratti nd Jorginho + Pellegrini/Florenzi/Cristante/Barella

Jorghinho nd Verratti as good players with technique, ideas nd skills.. Barella as a little Gattuso who will only be necessary for tackling, take of the ball, break off an attack etc..
Veratti rarely available anyway, Veratti & Jorginho is way too weak imo.. they need some enforcer ala Gatusso to do the dirty job.

GK and Defense are promising, Mid still a question mark, forward is okay-ish.

As someone said, Insigne play like crap for italy, Chiesa and Bernadeschi probably, and Balotelli.

That was me...

And about that midfield, maybe. Without Verratti it's Florenzi or Pellegrini for the moment.

That midfield would be too weak. All of the three are midgets, no coach would play like that.

You can't bring logic into this thread, it is never used. Could never match up to that star-studded Spain midfield that lost to Russia, for example.
Well, this goes both ways. For Spain's defense, at least they qualified for the tournament. Also, Russia had a very good WC, no point in downplaying what they did.

Regardless, despite their big names they didn't perform at all. Germany as well. They did have a good World Cup, but I think we can also all agree that they aren't a very good side.

As long as you have semi-competent players (which Italy certainly has in all positions), what's most important is just having a working system that everyone believes in. Hence, Conte's rag-tag band of paisans in the Euro Cup.

Such an underwhelming Italy performance. Where is this so called 'revival' we were expecting under mancini? This is still the same trash play we saw under ventura

I like Bernardeschi despite mistakes. Both teams needed a revolution, it seems like only Poland has done a decent job. I'd feel more confident with Fabiański in the Juve goal, maybe it comes with age.

The most disappointing thing since Italy's failure to qualify for the WC is how little has changed.

This was the perfect opportunity to rebuild the entire federation and the way Italian football is coached, managed and played. There needs to be a freshness and a philosophy like the German and French models.

I'm worried the decline will continue.

Oh this decline will continue. There is zero will from anyone in Italy to change things.

So here's a question for all you fuckers who have not been able to spell "Szczęsny" for two years: are you aware that that our coach Brzęczek is Błaszczykowski's uncle? Sometimes I feel sorry for foreign commentators.
