for all the good …that prandelli is achieving, in terms of engineering an admirable tenacity and belief in the squad and also attempting to unearth and bring through the next generation of azzurri players, tactically and selection wise he is failing miserably. And through this tactical failure of catastrophic proportions, the bad seeds he is sewing are stifling the good.
The juve rearguard triumvirate were phenomenal last season. Not only do they work incredibly well together but they also have a bond with buffon.

the japs, why did he not employ the juve blockade against a team with world class firepower but a relatively poor midfield, suspect defence and rarely safe goalkeeper? Maggio is a specialist wingback. Defensively he is very average, but in a 352 he can be great as a wingback, with 3 CBS in attendance to plug any gaps he leaves at the back.
Players like montolivio, candreva and worst of all aquiliani, obviously have no place on the international stage. They are sub standard. 8 goals conceded in 3 games.
It’s time to revert to the golden rule of playing to your strengths. Our strengths are the juve rearguard blockade, pirlo and de rossi, balotelli and cassano and di natale. Even totti could be given a role in the squad…for he remains a force in serie a. Criscito at lwb. Maggio on the right.

Yeah he needs to learn to utilise the right formation for the players available. 3-5-2 is the way to go, all of our 3 CBs now look badly out of place in a 4 man backline now.
Clowns like Aquilani and Montolivo shouldn't be anywhere near the squad in 2014 - hopefully Verratti and Florenzi and co can't be introduced soon enough to this team. Midfield needs freshing up.

if you have a history with italy it is logic to support italy but if you are having nothing of italian in your blood and you support italy cos they have a lot of juve players in the football team is kinda weird.
the whole reason behind international games is to support your country and the fact you can't pick your teams. Clubs are for everyone to pick.
Nationality is not for picking. My family would go nuts if I would support italy over Holland. I am not only supporting holland with football, but also with Hockey, Basketball and all other sports and contents or what ever.
