Sounds like a team I know
A draw would be amazing, but I just can't shake the feeling that Japan will beat us. Our starting CBs are Neill-Ognenovski. Two mid 30 players - one who has barely played club football in 6 months and the other plying his trade for the world renowned Umm-Salal.
I hope we see some of Robbie Kruse and Tommy Oar. Two very exciting young prospects for Australia. Especially Oar, a winger in the Harry Kewell mould (minus the massive douchiness)

Not too bad. But central defence still too old and slow (but experienced), McKay isn't a LB's arsehole, and Cahill as the lone striker indicates this will be more of a 4-6-0 then 4-2-3-1
. Look for plenty of long balls from Luca$h and co in the direction of Cahill. We will defintely see Josh Kennedy on at some point I guess.Happy that Oar and Kruse are starting. Oh and Holger springs a surprise and doesnt start with two holding midfielders. Bresh/Milligan is a much better midfield in terms of creativeness and holding possession.

I think Honda is doubtful, has some fitness issues.
Zac will probably stick with the 4-2-3-1, Maeda on his own up front. If Honda doesn't play then Kagawa will probably take his role, with Kiyotake out right and Takashi Inui left. Australia better prepared to get dribbled on a lot, because those three AMs will run crazy lines around the final third, but they are no real threat outside the area.

Yep. We call ourselves unlucky (referring to Australia - Italy) but we tend to crack in the final minutes quite a lot trying to absorb pressure for the full 90.

It would have been harsh on Japan to lose that game. They were the better side, particularly in the 2'nd half. Kudos to the Aussies though, for giving the Japanese a good game, what with their limited resources/personnel and all.
I still think Australia will go through in 2'nd, as the other teams in that group are nothing special.
