Just wanted to remind people that we spent/have commited to spend around 40m on 21 year old after he was having one good season in top flight. If we spend that kind of money we must be certain that he'll fit our project. Unlike EPL clubs that spend for the sake of it. I mean what's the point of bringing Cuadrado for 40m and only to loan him half a season later, United and Di Maria, Otamendi, etc... If Gundogan has overcome his back problems, if he has returned to his previous levels, if Juve's mgt has indentified him as our #1 target for the summer, then I don't see a reason why Juventus won't have a fair shot of signing him. No one in the right mind would offer 7-8m of salary for him and his fee shouldn't exceed 40m, that places him well whithin our reach. Possibility of playing for JUVENTUS and competing for the highest medals every season, being part of one of the greatest and most ilustrious teams in the history of the game, playing alongside champions like Buffon, Marchisio, Pogba, Dybala, Mandžukić, Barzagli, players that have the winning mentality (as soon as one victory is obtained our focus is how to win the very next one), while earning a fair amount of money in the process is enticing.

That's fine, since Juve won't be looking to signing anyone notable this winter as well. For the summer though, as I've stated it will depend on how Juve's mgt sees Gundogan, are they convinced that he could make a difference here, is the type of player that would fit here, mentality wise... Playing for JUVENTUS is quite a bit of different than playing for Dortmund, many have buckled under pressure. If he has the right characteristics for this club we'll make our utmost effort to sign him.

Juventus is a 2nd tier team in Eurpean football in terms of financial resources and ability to attract world class players.

Gundogan is a regular on the best national side and reigning world champs. The top tier teams in Europe are Barca, Real, Bayern, PSG and the English clubs due to the money involved. I think its very naive to think Juve has a shot at a player who is good enough to go into all those teams mentioned.

Vidal left for a "bigger" club, pogba is going to leave for a bigger club, why would gundogan come to a side established star players are leaving?

How about Juan Mata from Manchester United? If Mourinho go there, it's probably mean they sell Mata and I might think Mata had enough from EPL, so maybe we can offer good place for him. He can play attackin midfield and also winger. He is good and low price 27 years ago, but salary is high maybe.

With mata we can play 433, 4312, 4321. only problem is he might be useles in 352.

Second target must be Verratti, we need invest for him. Big money. (summer maybe)

Overall all the talk about a new potential AM is a bit pointless, at least at this point. Oscar, Mata, Gundogan - all of them would cost quite a lot and I don't see us spending that much next Summer. I already suggested that Berardi + Cuadrado takes up about 40m and that most probably will be about our net spending for the Summer. In the last one we spent big, the squad is much younger now, all that's left is to add a couple of players every year to strengthen the team but within the budget.

Those would be Atletico, Valencia, Napoli, Roma, Wolfsburg, Dortmund, etc... JUVENTUS is far above those teams both in terms of finances and appeal.

Our ambition, competitive edge places us also well above aforementioned clubs.

The fact is he isn't. Since 2011 he has gathered only 16 apps.

The top tier teams in Europe are Barca, Real, Bayern, PSG and the English clubs due to the money involved. I think its very naive to think Juve has a shot at a player who is good enough to go into all those teams mentioned.

We can't spend few hundred millions on players that we'll hardly use, we don't run business like that, don't tend to pile up players we'll discard a year later after giving them few odd minutes now and then, but we can indentify targets that would fit our project better than most clubs in the last several years have. If a player is suitable for our needs we'll have no difficulties to make a high offer. See Sandro, see Dybala, Morata... More than 100m invested during last summer is a testament to that. Our revenues are expected to reach 400m next summer. Not something to neglect. Juve is also part of the holding that is worth billions, so there's that as well. I'm not saying we can outbid some of the clubs, but only that we can assemble very good and competitive team that could challenge for every trophy and has quite bit of grit that most teams find difficult to overcome and would rather avoid us, which also makes us appealing; and that we're not exactly poor. Simply don't/can't spend for the sake of it, to appease the fans, to give them new shining toy to brag about.

The club was willing to let Vidal go as much as he wanted to leave, maybe even more. Don't think he was seen pivotal anymore. Pogba leaving heard that every summer till now. Ah, another german. Please share us your opinion about Gundogan :

1) How is he currently doing compared to before his injury
2) How good is he in terms of quality, or when compared to his competition.

Mata doesnt have the mentality to be worthy of juventus, and the past 3 years, hasent shown the quality either.

I find Gundogan a unique player, and was a massive fan before his injury. Seems he'll slot right back into my PES/FIFA teams from next summer

I don't know about Mata. He is decent offensively but I don't think he has the work ethic that is needed in the modern game. In any case, I highly doubt he is someone who would be made available in January.
