reus? same reus dortmund are asking 60m pounds for? manu left that deal in the dust bc they only valued him at 50m pounds

u can say no, you know
The team still needs a quality midfielder , what quality can expect from such a cheap target
felipe anderson
I'd take him on the cheap but i if he is available i think he is the most likely one than other cheap targets

I think we are in a position now where we could throw down 40-45m on a single player next season due to having covered most of our bases this summer.

Buy a RB also because Lict is declining and will only get worse.
May also depend on how certain loans are resolved. For eg., we may decide to buy Cuadeado and he could cost us about 20-24m, while Berardi will cost whatever, plus Vrsaijko who would cost 15-17m., plus Lemina at 12m. After all that's resolved we will have to see if we make the CL (outside chance we won't) contingent on the team gelling as a unit etc., so I'd say the board may still be a bit risk averse next year as well. May still look for opportunities and see how the likes of Goetze/Mata etc are fairing at their clubs.

It depends how far we go in CL, a semi's will do us good especially since we did overspend this season.

I would love someone from our youth ranks to surprisingly come through, I'll make that as a wish for christmas.

Seriously, that would make me so happy to develop a new Marchisio.
I feel the same, we got 50 players on loan and no one potentially to step up to the first team. It's frustrating to see how our Primavera works.

Yup , agree with you except this time Marotta got to do the homework first. We got to target the AM immediately and seal the deal early.

Licht is 31 he still has a couple of years before we replace him, in the meantime we will use Caceres, Padoin or Cuadrado. The last 4 seasons the midfield was our main strenght, now is the most doubtful about, we have to see how the new players respond and any correction will be done on january. In general I think we have a pretty balanced squad

the problem is that this has happned 4 years in a row now. and beppe doesnt learn from his mistakes.

everytime his negotiations dragged on he lost his target. see aguero, van persie, sanchez, jovetic, sanchez again, now draxler.

you think after 4 seasons of failure, he would learn to cough up the extra 3-5 million and get the deal over with, but no, he let it drag out and suprise suprsise, another team outbid him typical.

it's even more frustrating when you consider he had no problem forking 18m for an injured isla, 18m for zaza, 40m for dybala..etc.

how do you not learn from your mistakes?

not true... Juve has money, they don't want to spend it in wrong places... See Zaza for example.

Goddammit @Lion and everyone else gtfo with that 18m Zaza shit, I'm starting to loose it, because you are like a crybaby that really really wants that candy and repeating same shit again and again. Zaza 18m Zaza 18 injured Zaza 18m. It's not even your money, Zaza did not even made our squad weaker. Go support bayern, they just loaned out a benchwarmer for two years with an option of 28m haha

If the discussion about Zaza bothers you so much, then just ignore it. We aren't simply going to overlook matters because you said so :howler:

Until he proves himself worthy of our jersey, and justifies the ridiculous outlay, we shall continue to criticize him.

Its actually a great deal for Bayern. If he turns out to be shit then they paid peanuts for him.. if he turns out great then they get to buy him for very little. Almost no risk involved.

On our side if Koman is great we will lose him for a small fee and if he is shit we will have him back. Bayern made a brilliant deal.

The awkward moment when the likes of Southampton and Wolfsburg can afford more than Juventus.
Yeah, except only City spent more than us.

What if he turns out to be 20mln kind of player? Will Bayern pay us 20 mln if they already paid 8? If they will, we win. If they won't we would still win because already have 8 mln from Bayern and can sell to someone else for 20 mln. TBH I don't see him develop so much in those two years. Not in Bayern which is not a kindergarten and need immediate results. He doesn't seem to have brain and humility to achieve big in football.

I don't rate him highly so I think we won't regret it. But yeah you are right if he is a 20 mill kind of player (bench player at Bayern) then we lose nothing. Thats the thing though. There are 3 possible scenarios. The first is that he is shit in which case we made 6 mill out of him and can then sell him for like another 6 in two years? so this scenario would leave us with a small gain. The second is that he is a 20 mill kinda player and that means Bayern will buy him for that amount which will be the right amount for him. This scenario is good if we never need a winger and possibly bad if we do need a winger. This scenario is small gain/loss. The third scenario is that he is very good in which case bayern get him at a cut price. This scenario is large loss.

Bayern get a similar deal because to them scenario 1 is small loss, scenario 2 is small gain/loss and scenario 3 is big gain.

It boils down then to a bet about what he is going to develop into. If he is a shit or okay player then this transfer is meaningless in the big picture as all we stand to gain is little. Management must be betting he is not anything special. Bayern is betting he can be something special.
