I think he is past his prime, but I guess we will have to wait and see the standard of his games for Bayern. His prime imho was 2 seasons ago.
I'd still take that 'past his prime' Vidal. He turned into a champion here and he always gave his all. Even if he wasn't that good last season he started to show signs of his old self in the second part of the season. He confirmed his form in Copa America.
I think the management got this one wrong. Pirlo and Tevez already left and allowing Vidal to go shows our management is too confident of winning another Serie A. IMO Vidal deserved the pay rise and should have been kept here. You don't build a big club by selling your best players. Vidal is 28 ffs. Nedved came here when he was 29. Even being past 30 Vidal would be very useful. You could transform him into a classic DM and with age he'd be better at reading the game and still would be effective defensively. It's hard to find another CM with so much stamina and grinta. The guy has been sliding on his ass for four years for our shirt - he deserved more.
Sorry to say this but Bayern got a true bargain here. Some say about Vidal such stupid things you'd though the man is already on a wheelchair. It's a pretty bad deal especially if we end up with Draxler as AM. Sure he might be a huge talent but he isn't that experienced, he's not a champion and he's been injured a lot. I trust the management with the Draxler deal; Should have gotten him without selling Vidal though.
To me Vidal is a Juve legend. The man resembles Juve spirit and was a crucial player to our revival. I'm a huge Davids fan and I have to say: if Davids is considered a legend for this club then Vidal has to be too.
