I like the old meaning of clubs who've had greats wearing their numbers and continue the tradition these days. Football is turning into a circus these days.
I'm with you. There's still a few of us who's been around before modern football and care for those things. As a Brazilian i can perfectly understand the value of the no 10 shirt.

I say he can have it as long as he's guaranteed on paper to stay with us for a long time, no matter how much or who offers what.

This has to be a joke right? People say we're not in a strong position to say No, but c'mon. If he wen't to Madrid or Bayern, he wouldn't get the freedom of a 3 man mid to go forward and score goals.

We're supposed to be a traditional club right. 10=Fantasista

Yep, is not the player type to wear that traditional number, so he shouldnt get it. Its weird to already start thinking in terms of what makes him happiest to stay as long as possible, he is a key player in Juve, he should be happy enough, and not already have fans thinking of giving him number or whatever just to make him stay, after only being here two seasons. We arent Arsenal, or Parma (them and captains lol).

He should take #8 but if its true that he requested for this number, by all means he earned it. He was our front line man and back, shit he dictated the whole field, he made shit happen.
