Its quite silly to give the advanced playmaker/trequartista/creative striker shirt, to a central midfielder.

I dont care what pressure is involved, i dont like to see numbers given to illogical positions.

However, if it really has to happen, then vidal over anyone else

Cheesio #10? No. I like the man and all, I like the player but he's not quite there.
8 is ideal for his position, and regardless of my admiration of his value for the team, he's not quite the best of the team

If he wants it, then give it to him by all means. I think he should stick to 23 though.
He'll make his own number legendary. Quite like the #23 he uses. I do Like the thought of him wanting the #10 as it shows he's willing to stay a long time.

He has to have it! Sure, he is not the typically Nr. 10, but the 10 at Juve doesn't stand just for Ale, it stands for a player, that represents the Juve spirit more, than any other player in the squad, back than it was our Capitano, today its Vidal!

If Vidal is planning to stay here for a long period, then give him the #10. He has been carrying us practically all by himself the last quarter of last season and i can't think of someone else who would deserve it more than Vidal does at this point.

Might be just me. I'm don't really care what positions wears what number (but not all numbers :boh: ). I don't give a crap if Bonucci has 97 number, or 53. But I find it silly to have 19. And I found it very retarded when I saw Gallas wear number 10. People say they don't care about numbers, but with Gallas it's different story because it's 10? Then that's silly too.

He is the one who carries this team in its darkest hours...so give the number to the man if he wants it.

By far our most important player and the axis of the team. If that keeps him happy, and he really mean to honor the shirt, why not?.
Apart from Buffon, i think no one is worth of that shirt in this team, and no one will in the years to come from what we are seeing.

In fact, we didnt have a player with Vidal´s levels of grinta since the Nedved days. The kind of player who always is like " guys, fuck everything, we are winning this" attitude.

Also, this could mean commitment from him, to staywith us for a long time.

Things were a bit different back then because squad numbers weren't a thing.

The players who took to the field in whatever game wore 1-11, so it was only natural that guys like Platini, Baggio and Del Piero automatically took 10 because of their position.

It's a tradition, too. There's a reason why we always gave number 10 to legends.
I especially don't care about who Arsenal give their numbers to. Fair enough, legendary numbers should be given to great players but position-wise? To me that's not really important.
