Traore set to sign for Juve
Monday 30 August, 2010
Juventus are close to signing Arsenal youngster Armand Traore on loan, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The story first emerged on Sky Sports News yesterday afternoon, when it became clear that Juventus director general Beppe Marotta had asked for Traore on loan.

The 20-year-old would fill a problem position at left-back for Juventus.

Paolo De Ceglie didn't look convincing against Bari yesterday and Juventus need an alternative in light of Fabio Grosso's prospective move away from Turin.

Traore has been with Arsenal since 2006, although he did spend a year on loan with Portsmouth.

Another cheap alternative, but if 'we' intend on letting dc grow, he could be a good alternative.

Walcott has made a good start to the season, he might surprise this season.
I doubt it, the player is very limited technically. I think he can do well against the smaller clubs that are stupid enough to play a high line though. I doubt he'll have much of an impact against top 7-8 teams in the PL.

nobody worse than De ceglie...anyway my fellow england friend which the big fan of arsenal told me that traore is young LB with lot of great potential. he is fast and can pass thats include a decent long pass. his defending still improving but he is better than De ceglie on that area.

We've been hearing about his potential for years now, he's never impressed me. He is not a better defender than De Ceglie, though he is extremely fast, so his recovery pace might give him some edge, but his overall defending, positioning, tackling etc is extremely poor. It wasn't even good enough for Portsmouth, who then got frustrated of him and shifted him to a left wing position, but even there he wasn't good enough technically.

Limited player, poor signing he will be.
