You saw the Croatia game and you call Portugal entertaining. I just don't get that.
I said they created the most chances in the group stage. And i said i saw the extended highlights of the croatia game. I saw the austria and hungary groupstage games, extended highlights of iceland and later croatia.

I'l try to explain better cause apparently i'm confusing people.

In the groupstages, Portugal created the most chances of any team. They however had by far the worst conversion ratio. Really missing a central forward. I found all their groupstage games entertaining because of the consistant danger and chances, regardless of goals.

Both Croatia and Portugal greatly feared each other and neutered their formations for much extra safety. As a result both teams were well organised, but no chances were created.
When Croatia finally started to move forward and leave a little room, they got punished on the counter.

I compare to classic italy. Group stages arent for them. They dont like to make the play. However in the knockouts they can sit organised and counter dat space all day.
For me croatia was the best team at the euro's. And they didnt create shit against Portugal. And when they finally did, they left space for Portugal to execute.

Note, that Renato Sanchez guy should NOT be on the goddamn bench.

Disagree about Renato Sanches. That guy seems like the perfect sub to come on and wreak havoc against tired legs. I would say the same for Quaresma. Both are better off coming from the bench. This strategy is working very well so far for them.

Same thing with Coman. He doesn't play all that well when he starts but he's an absolute handful when he comes in the 2nd half when teams are down in intensity. Subs are deciding the games for France. Its a big weapon for France going deep into the tournament.

Yeah Coman is the last person you want to see come on fresh as a full back that's been running up and down for 70 minutes straight

When you're physically and mentally fresh though, he's really not much of a major issue.

Haven't seen enough from Sanches at all to judge him though, but he at least looks technically gifted on the ball.

Italy@ azzurri
#DeSciglio : "#Conte has helped me
a lot. I've always felt his loyalty, he
called me up even when I wasn't at
my best."

Seems his man management is on another level.

Did you read Allen the other day ? Storm over him fielding Eder, keeping Eder on, but then see him score ?(sweden). How he'd now have a great world cup ?

Both Eder and Pelle are playing not even close to what they should be playing like

that's why i believe conte have done great things for italy with a average squad and turned them into useful players where they can score in important matches
