he wanted the likes of sanchez, cuadrado, cavani etc... he has hazard willian/pedro/cuadrado/salah and costa
Oh i thought you had your mind on someone in specific (you said "player"), I took it literally.
In any case, Costa, Hazard (If he is not permanently ruined), Fabregas and Willian are the only attacking players of serious quality. Oscar and Pedro are very goo squad players but they are a level less than the others.
He has gaping holes at the back. He also has just 1 good DM in Matic.
In a way this project seems like the reverse of his Juve project. When he took us over we were stacked in defense with under-performing but very talented players that he got to perform. But we seriously lacked in attacking players. With Chelsea its the reverse. His attacking players are plenty and need the proper guidance to express their ability to the fullest while at the back he has the defensive equivalent of Quag and Matri.
Also our main players were largely old while Chelsea's are kids. Both his teams are coming off of a horrible season and will be aiming for a CL spot as the objectives.
Luckily this time he has plenty of money to spend and most of his spending should be concentrated on defensive minded players (apart from a striker maybe). Defensive players should be cheaper than attacking players so that is an advantage. That is unless they go after stupid signings like this Stones guy who for some reason is ultra expensive and is over-hyped.
If I were him I'd sell Hazard and get Griezman using his money. I'd then go after Ben Atia, Hummels and someone like Caravajal for the defense. Radja for the midfield.
--- ----------------Costa/new guy
Pedro/Griezmann---Griezmann/Oscar-----Willian/Cuadrado
-----------------------Fabregas/matic - Radja/matic
Azpi/Ivanovic - Hummels/Cahill - Ben Atia/Zouma - Caravajal
---------------------Courtois
Thats a world class team.

It's every coaches dream to have John Obi-Mikel in their squad.
