Its good that the team is playing with intensity and grinding out results. However the team is grinding results not because they are under-performing for a couple of matches but because the team itself is poor. This is a team that at close to its best form can only grind out results. Our 2011 and 2012 Juve was powering through defenses most of the time but then every now and then the team under-performed and had to grind out a result. His Italy is not like that. It doesn't grind out results when it under-performs it grinds out results when it does perform.
Sooner or later Conte will have to call back Balotelli and work his magic on him. He is the only italian striker that showed his talent even if not consistently. That is if this Italy won't completely flop. If Balotelli is in form during the duration of the competition and semi-talented guys like Shaarawy get back to their best level then this Italy will at least be very hard to beat.
Immobile has it in him to be a good poacher. He flopped last season but only a season before he was the top scorer in Serie A. His average form should be somewhere in the middle. He shouldn't be the most lethal striker out there but he also shouldn't be totally abysmal like that.
