Koke was great last season as well, he's not a new discovery by any means.

Those players are all worth tons of cash due to their potential/age. In our team we have Vidal and Pogba. Plenty of their individuals are better than ours. Our team is strong as a team but individually not so much. Our team is like a machine, but with no brain, Atletico has both. Simeone is surely a great coach (at least at this point), but just look how many great players he has, those who are modern type of player suited for Europe. In Europe we have Pirlo who's old, way too fragile defense and no width, no creativity whatsoever if Pirlo gets shut down. We're lethargic and that stuff can only be paid off in Serie A due to its weakness. I'm not saying we have shit players, far from it, but we lack A LOT in order to be competitive in Europe because even shit teams can cause us troubles.
:Oh, yes - Juanfran, Miranda, Garcia, Koke, Tiago, Diego Costa, Gabi etc. are all great players and were well known as a world stars footballers before this season, god damn youngsters who started to shine now  enough is enough, stop this nonsense, please, Atletico is good defending team with the perfect counter attacking play, they don't need brain for it, all they need is discipline, stamina and deadly finisher, and they have it because Simeone found ideal positions for all of them.

How come then that no-brainers from Juventus are much more creative then brainers from Atletico?

You're focusing way too much on Atletico. It's their first and most likely last season when you see them perform at this level. It's like when Monaco reaches the CL finals, they just faded away.

    1) We're not going to come close to semies with 3-5-2
    2) We have no wingers
    3) Our defense as a unit is good but individually way too fragile which is noticeable in Europe
    4) Pirlo gets shut down easily

If you seriously believe this Juve is capable of doing that good in Europe and winning it then I have nothing to do add.

Yes they were all known before and Koke is the only youngster you named.

Atletico would shit all over this Juventus tbh. We can't keep up with their pace and aggression. I don't even want to imagine us facing them...

That picture  Did you just post that...

Atletico had 2 less assists while they had 4000 less passes? And they scored 1 goal less out of 80 less chances created?

    That is called efficiency.

    1) Juventus did it 30 years ago with 352, Brazil won world cup 02 with this formation, and juventus can't do the same with it, seriously?
    2) What do u call "wingers"? We have players for 433/4231 formations - Giovinco, Vucinic, Isla and now isla
    3) Bullshit, our one and only error prone defender is Bonucci and we lost many points because of him only
    4) That's why I call Conte stubborn for 24/7 - he doesn't even trying to create anything against it expect using Bonucci's as playmaker

No, that's called deadly finishing, Costa's converstaion rate is 25+%, he is scoring from every 4th opportunity, while we create a lot but score less, so we have brain while you said different thing

    1) Exactly what you mention... we're still living in the past and that's why we suck in Europe. Thank you for pointing that out.
    2) Isla is not a winger for 4-3-3. We have only Giovinco and Mirko, that is not enough to play 4-3-3 because if you lose some of those two... yeah.
    3) We actually got fucked up because of Chiellini many times, especially when we faced Real
    4) You're right, Conte is stubborn, no doubt about that. Please don't put Bonucci and playmaker in the same sentence, the guy is a disaster.

We'd be much stronger if we had Costa. Imagine Tevez - Costa upfront.

Just with him we'd be MUCH stronger. But yeah, it's one of those heavy investments we NEED in order to be successful in Europe. He's just an example, same can be said about some winger who will provide width, key crosses for Llorente, or score some vital goals and be ready for counter attacks. You surely can't expect that from Asamoah or Licht, eventhough we do see it from time to time, when teams are not pressing us (which they do most of the time).

    1) Nope, it's Conte's problem, he should work better, you act like if we'll swap to 433/4231 then we will win everything which is nonsense, why you can't understand that we can't drop tevez while he is useless as a lone forward?
    2) he is, he can cover all right wing positions - RB, RWB or RW, also we have Giovinco for that role
    3) Bullshit, referee killed us in that match
    4) he is

    1) Not at all, I'm not one of those who has been crying out 3-5-2. I'm one of those who thinks we need an alternative formation in order to minimize the threat by some other teams, especially in Europe. 3-5-2 can be countered easily against big teams. There's a reason we didn't field it against Real and guess what, it's one of the rare matches when we did very good. If we're playing a top team that presses a lot while using wingers, then our formation is utter crap and we've seen that many times. If that happens you can't expect nothing from Asamoah and Licht. There's a reason why clubs don't use that formation in Europe, I don't remember any club who used it and won the competition. Unless it was 30 years ago.

    2) No, he can't. He was never a winger.. maybe he played a couple of matches there but he failed. He's a RWB, just like he was at Udinese. We just have Mirko and Giovinco. Not to mention that Mirko was injured for like 2-3 months, which left us with 1 natural winger (if you can even say that...). We could NOT play the 4-3-3.

    3) No, Chiellini's lack of brain cells did. Referee was fine.

And Costa cost them 2.5m euros only and Simeone wasn't crying that they are not spending big, why Conte can't do the same? every year Marotta was able to sign amazing players which are started to shine under the Conte's control, but why he lost faith in Beppe now? Why he didn't blame himself for anything? He's always looking for a reason on the side - snow, referee, bad economy, poor transfers etc. etc. i don't remeber that he ever said "blame me, i've made mistake"

    1) There is a reason that we conceded 4 goals from real madrid with this formation, especially those 2 at home on Real Madrid's counter attacks, which means that 433 doesn't worked at all against them.
Ajax with 343 - the winner of CL in 1993
Borussia with 3412 - the winner of CL in 1997
Juventus with 3412 - lost final of CL in 1998
Bayern with 523 - lost final of CL in 1999
Real Madrid with 3412 - the winner of CL 2000
    etc.
    2) The best football that he ever showed happened to him in Udine when Guidolin moved him in the central zone and made him b2b midfielder, he was very useful for their counter-attacking play, so how can you say that he is not able to play as RW? maybe we should try it atleast for 1 time?

    3) Nope, players are always catch each other on the set pieces, you can't give penalty for it, it's a common practice

Like I said, out of all our transfers it's only Vidal and Pogba who turned out to be stars (whos price is above 40mln).

I wouldn't say he lost faith. He wants more and bigger investments. You make it sound like getting a new Costa for 3mln is what every day occurs. Quality wingers (or any player) cost a lot. We're a top team (unlike Atletico) and we're not gonna buy a random kid and see how he does here (that is what Porto, Benfica and other clubs do). We're here to buy quality players and players who made it big. It's not like we can compare transfer policies. Atletico has great players, but it's just one generation, we're on the top for many years. It's a huge risk to rely on Nani or to expect Cerci to explode or keep the same level at a big club.

It's not just about the money per se, but making the right moves. We've spent 30mln euros on Bonucci and Ogbonna, while neither is good enough to be here, let alone to be a starter (...and a playmaker...).

I'm not saying Conte never makes mistakes. He obviously does and yeah part of the blame he should take without a doubt, especially us choking in Europe. I'm just saying that we DO need investments and better if we want to win in Europe. We're outdated and not to mention half of our squad is getting very old, majority of our key players.

We played good actually, if anything we were not lucky. But we're still talking about Real who are in the finals now, they have plenty of star players. I'm sure they would have demolished us with 3-5-2.

Better try to list which formations played teams in 2000 and till today. There's a reason every team uses 4 man defense nowadays. Top teams can shut down 3-5-2 very easy, but not 4-3-3.

One 'issue' we have with our team is that our best players are somewhat defensive minded and play in midfield. Atletico's best players are in attack. That makes a difference.

We bought Vidal for 2 cents, they bought Costa for 2 cents. Players like Costa and Arda win matches, titles...

Vidal is a beast, don't get me wrong. Best all round dmc in the world.
