learn faster :howler: this is his 2nd time coaching in a european competition, it's not like he is a veteran. seriously some of you hype up your own expectations of the club and Conte only to fall for failure, our time in europe will come soon enough, just stop with these knee jerk reactions it's becoming quite embarassing to read.

If you ask me our experience in the EL will prove valuable for the future, but hey ho i prefer to look at the bigger picture.

If he could get his act together in Europe and stopped setting the team up so one dimensional he could easily surpass Ancelotti, Capello and Lippi. Lippi had one of the best teams the CL has ever seen and lost 3 finals only winning one. We were favourites in 3/4 of the finals and lost every time we were favourites.

Only time we won was against Ajax when they were the defending champions. So to an extent Lippi failed in Europe as well even though he won it for us once.
Lippi guided the team all the way to the finals and won one of them. That is an amazing feat if you ask me. He built a very consistent team but ofcoarse he had amazing resources too. Lippi is an all time great coach. Conte isnt.

Lippi failed in Europe? :howler: Lippi's Juve was one formidable side, feared all across continent. I'll always remember Garry Neville's interview in '99 after their final group match in CL, when he found out that we qualified as well.
Whether Conte can emulate Lippi's success remains to be seen, but Marcelo was one of the finest strategists of all time. It will be hell of a task.

FFS there's a lot of ground between there and this season's CL results.
and? lets say we reached the quarter finals of the CL this season would that really have been any more of an improvement than a semi final of the EL? because realistically there was no way of us reaching the semi's or better in the CL this season. either way the usual suspects would have moaned blah blah. Truth of the matter is the EL has provided lessons to be learnt ones that will probably be more valuable than that of exiting in an earlier round of the CL tbh

I know being the best fan is really important to you, but that doesn't mean being a blind follower believing Conte is immune to criticism.
if it was actually constructive then that is different. As i said had we reached the quarters of the CL this season and exited then im almost certain i would be reading the same bullshit reactions and how he needs to learn faster etc...

you don't go into war without building an empire. we're only just starting to build one! but there are those who expect success to come on a plate
