What I believe is that we have conceded about 80% of our goals because of individual mistakes. Feel free to prove me wrong.
And yesterday is another good example. We control the game & look much more likely to score a 3rd than Fiorentina scoring a 1st. And all of a sudden, we go from 0-2 to 2-2, without even giving away a chance. Important detail obviously being the ref this time.
I'm not saying "the team" is doing great or that there is no room for improvement. On the contrary. But the fact remains that other teams don't need to play well to score against us. They don't even need to work to create a chance. Hell, they often don't even need a chance in order to score. We just gift them. And you can outplay & outclass every opponent for an entire game, if the individual errors keep coming, you'll get nowhere.
Of course, it's up to Conte as well to turn it around.
I think that bunch of people here have massively overrated most of our players. The same ones that pretty much underperformed before Conte, recently have reached incredible heights. Conte might be stubborn and some things definitely need to change, but calling for his resignation is utter stupidity and lack of of basic knowledge related to this game. Even if this team fails to qualify for Europe next year, which is very unlikely to happen, Conte deserves another chance. More than 90% people here have praised him and his ideas not so long ago. Disagree over tactics, players selection, subs, but for the love of God leave those resignation talks for later, at least till the end of season. Fickle people.
Jesus , even if it is the players that screw us up since the start of the season by being sloppy and far away from concentrated , they ain't gonna wake up on their own. It's the manager's job to help them do that, it is HIS FUCKING JOB people, don't block any form of criticism. This is what we expect from a coach. And no we haven't overrated our team. It is a squad capable of winning serie A, for fuck's sake it's not like the other teams have a galaxy of stars in their rosters. We SURELY can play much better and of course win the championship. Champions League on the other hand, we are far from it, to be honest.
That being said, sacking Conte is absolutely fucking ridiculous and obviously not an option. He is a good fit for us. He is respected, he produces results , he surely can inspire the players ( and this is what I'm waiting from the start of the season but haven't seen yet ), he is a good coach and a true Juventino. We shouldn't be so naive to gamble with a potential new coach.

And that is not Conte's problem. Management accumulated costs in previous years and it's up to them to find reasonable solution to this particular problem. Releasing coach would be just a step backwards and apart from that I don't think that we can find better one atm. When someone wins 2 titles in a row at least some reciprocity is expected. In this case second chance, but lets hope it never comes to that and we secure top 3 finish by the end of this season.
I'll be the first to criticize some of his decisions and as a coach he has certain responsibility for recent developments. The fact is other teams like Roma or Napoli have strengthened their respective squads and by default winning title this year will be extremely difficult task to achieve. Some players are indeed overrated. It happens on every forum so this one is not an exception (check players thread for further clarification). Yes we can play better, but realistically Buffon made 4 horrific blunders since the start of the season, Bonucci is having 2010/11 all over again, Chiellini and Barzagli are massively underachieving so far and the list goes on. You can't single out just Conte for this. Our problem is deeper than that.
Which is why in this current moment conte should basically show that since no one is really achieving their maximum potential he should bench some of the guaranteed starters

That happens when a team unit is so strong, but the same also happens at many other clubs. Players who people would identify as those we should replace our 'overrated' players with. That's just how football works, better team = better individuals, but not always the other way around. In fact with better individuals over the last two seasons I doubt we would have had the same response, these players have had to prove themselves, Pirlo and Buffon included.

Ask for Conte to resign is stupid. As much as i hate his stubborness and lack of balls on the game... calling for his head would just plummet down the team to the del neri era.
Conte needs to get his shid together and decipher whats going on with the team and the underperformers doing brainfarts, buffon specially.
I know we are letting players shhot from outside as of late.. but buffon cannot hope to go out of a game in florence, with rossi on fire... without a single shot needed to be saved. If we cant rely on him for this... yes theres an issue.
I would start to worry because it seems roma is decided to occupy one CL spot...and it seems we have set ourlsevs menatlly to be vulnerable.
