Rewatch the game and although I do blame buffon partially for the rossi goal, not only did the defence give too much space to rossi but our midfield is closing anyone down anymore. Also our defence looks like something from a epl team. Our defenders are being dragged together and leave gaps open on the field. Antonio Conte doesnt deserve to be sacked but does deserve the criticism

Buffon slips when he doesn't trust the defense. When the defense is on fire you can expect Buffon to come up big.

I still trust Buffon more than our defense.
And why his performances should be reviewed depending on how Bonucci and Co. is doing?.

He is a world champion, he is the captain, and he has a reputation to live up to.

The defense can be shaky.. but he needs to save shots. Even if we lose 0-4, he at the very least should come up with his head high from saving like 5 goals or more.

That shot he missed from Rossi was a routine save. Dangerous.. but in no way impossible to stop and he has faced much more fiece shots in the past. He is scared from shots it seems... he is scared to give the ball away. He is scared of everything as of late.

But you guys act like this is the first time we (and Buffon) have dipped in form.

You have to understand that he's a legend and people won't back down easily. Same thing happened with ADP, Nedved and others.
Yes I know.

I can understand not saving the PK but he just seemed slow off the line (no spring in his jump to the side is what I mean, as in he didn't seem sharp) Not to mention when we was left 1 v 1 he just didn't dive well IMO. That save on Marchisio's 1 v 1 is a good example to counter other peoples arguments of Buffon being stranded...so was the Viola GK but he managed to save it well.

Just saying I'm not giving up on Buffon I think its the defenses fault mostly for leaving him out to dry like that...but he needs to be a bit sharper when the team collapses seeing as he has a "legend" status. :D

Inter's hilarious defense exposes handanovic to very difficult shots every single game and Samir keeps pulling one awesome save after the other the way Gigi used to. I am sorry but Gigi has been our main weakness this season.

Gigi is a legend, and that's what makes it so sad for me watching him like this. I never thought I would have to say this, but he should leave as long he still has enough dignity left form his amazing career (all assuming he doesn't magically recover his form like he did after that catastrophic 2011 season).
Let Storari gard the goal more often and bring back Leali in January. He's still young, but I believe he has all the potential to a world-class keeper. Also, we should maybe consider a transitionary number one for the summer mercato.
