Maybe you can give me a proper answer to my wondering, why were we playing with a more balanced squad, with more aggression and even with the series of draws we looked in a better shape last year even though the reason to some is Asamoah. He wasn't with us last season, so what is the difference?

To the morons saying the formation has nothing to do with it: guess the fu.ck what? It's entirely irrelevant. What matters is that the team is in a slump, it's not a one-off, it's a systematic deterioration. Given the fact that we have the most complete squad in the league (I would say most talented, but Napoli and Milan if they get Mario Balotelli probably have more talent than we do) then you can only blame one person: Conte.

Doesn't matter why we're dropping points, you've got the best squad in the league, make it work or GTFO. And guess what else? Conte knows this. The only reason you would have a go at the referee like that is if you're frustrated and angry at yourself, and this was just the perfect opportunity to vent.

Exactly and De Ceglie sometimes but when we needed stability and protection we used a 4-3-3 yet some experts are saying that the formation has nothing to do with the shaky performance.

Personally I think the formation has had an effect on our performances this month. With both Chiellini and Asamoah gone our left side is absolute shit. Conte should of changed to a 4-3-3, something like Giovinco-----Quag-----Vucinic up front. I know Vucinic has been on and off in terms of fitness, but even Giaccherini could of slotted in, maybe even Isla. We look so vulnerable on the counter in the 3-5-2, especially when our left side is non-existent. 4-3-3 would of made it more stable as you said

Because our entire squad wanted to win. They were obsessed with toppling Milan, all of them.

Look at players such as De Ceglie and Caceres for instance, this time around. Do they even care?

Giacch and Marchisio ran more and worked harder last season, too.

Vidal is still a boss. So is Barza, Chiellini, Bonucci and Asamoah. But last season, our entire squad was beasting.

I know that Asa wasn't in our team last season, but he represents the team spirit of last season this time around.

I think it's a combination of factors.

* We seem a lot less hungry or motivated in many, many games. Something I personally had expected before the season began. Last season basically everyone wanted to prove a point, show the world what they were capable of, (almost) every single game. We were underdogs, we're not anymore, quite the opposite. Some/most players may get a bit complacent, we're underestimating the opposition, they "know" we're technically a better team compared to least season which leads to less of an effort being made, etc.
* Cl games mean players are saving themselves. Only human to want to be at your best for the "important" games.
* We're missing Chiellini, Asamoah, Pepe for long periods. And during this period, there have been fitness issues with Vucinic, Marchisio, Vidal, Pirlo,... That's a lot of quality you're missing right there.
* Some moments in time you're lucky, other moments you're unlucky. Right now, we're unlucky. In terms of referees, in hitting the post instead of scoring a goal, in getting punished for every single mistake we make (De Ceglie, Buffon, Vucinic,...). Every single team out there makes mistakes throughout every single game, very few teams get punished for basically all of them all the time. But we seem to be going through such a period right now.


I have to say that I don't think we were in better shape last year though. Let's not forget that we had some less than impressive periods last season as well, despite the unbeaten season: Only 3 wins out of 9 games in Feb-March.

First of all, record points in a calenderyear, unbeaten scudetto, supercoppa and coppa final, finishing first in the second hardest cl group, and beeing 8 points clear in the serie a, that was all 2012.

Motivation problem can be fixed but the nonchalance is worrying.

Since we are missing key players for a certain system to work, why force players into the system and fuck up the entire plan? Why not adapt?

Since we are having players missing and lacking depth, why not fix it when you realize it? We had the opportunity to do that, we went and bought Peluso and a substitute for our FIFTH forward.
