I love the fact that Conte isnt taking the plea bargain even if it means he gets a year touchline ban.

Imagine winning the scudetto without a coach (of course Conte will be the one training the team behind the scenes) :touched:
As someone who witnessed the Portugal NT's disastrous start to the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign without a coach, I would not recommend it.

In a perfect world, we wouldn't, but in a calcio that's all about stocks, finances and politics, I'm pretty damn sure we will.
As someone who witnessed the Portugal NT's disastrous start to the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign without a coach, I would not recommend it.
But we would never really be without a coach. Conte will be banned from the touchline and that's about it. Someone mentioned previously that it will be similar to what Jose did while being banned every other match with real. Conte still will be the man behind the play, still the boss.

As for Jem's argument, an interim coach, someone with a good repute with the fans and healthy for the sponsors (like Nedved) can work.

BTW what's Lippi upto these days?

That's not yet known. He could be banned from all footballing activities. We'll have to wait, for now, but don't get your hopes up.

I see a lot of people mentioning Nedved, but does he have a coaching license?

I'm not surprised by Conte's decision. What would have been surprising, was if Conte, a man with the kind of integrity and sense of honor that he has, had accepted the plea bargain. Ever since I heard of the plea bargain, I never cared for it, even though it probably would've meant that he could've stayed on as Juventus coach in the end.

I'm happy to see a man that I respect so much, instead will take up the fight with Palazzi and FIGC.

Most likely, the Juve-Conte era ends here. But my respect for him, does not.

Grazie mister, for everything.
If this is the end of the Juve-Conte era, its a damn shame :( a damn damn shame indeed. Things looked so nice in the coming years with Conte at the helm. New stadium, new coach, fellow Juventino, unbeaten season and Scudetto. Words can't describe how bad I and probably the rest of us feel for Conte

Where the $#@! is FIFA in all this? They should be putting FIGC on probation and start getting involved in leagues that are so $#@!ed up as this.

Why is everyone just sitting back and letting this $#@! go on?
I don't think FIFA has the right to intervene. They don't event let the government to intervene with the football federation.

I believe they could send a warning to FIGC to get their shit together or risk being banned from international competitions.

I haven't traslated the whole post , just a summary .

He says that there is nothing , there is only the word of one person , no calls no money from passing through their hands . I am not here to tell the story that carobbio is not reliable , he is reliable , but not the only one who is reliable . He says that at 19 january when he was questioned he didn't talk about conte , he remembered conte at 29 february in front of the federal prosecution . His plea bargain is a demonstration of interes in his part . We say that carobbio is reliable , gervasoni is reliable , but one says white the other black (pratically these guys have said things contrary to each other and they are both credible ) . Carobbio makes a lot of calls with an egyptian card to ilievski (don't ask me i don't know anything about this) while at 29 february he declared that he hasn't contacted him , so he says he needs explanation why they still believe him .
