Though my only big problem with Conte mainly is the timing and selection of his subs.

Yeah, in the home games the pace is crazy and we are dead on 70 minutes. Considering we have most of the possession that means one of two things; we are forcing the play too much, or we aren't fit enough to play this tempo.

I like it very much. Because thats the way it should be with all players.

All that said, I think the technical decisions were in place to sub Mirko with Alex. So it's not his attitude I'm not happy about it's his decision making.

The only problem with Conte imo is that he is NOT picking the best. Letting Krasic, Pepe start over and over again, when you have players like Elia, Quag out is unbelievable.

We had possession against Genoa but other than that they were pressuring us and dominating the flow of the game. Same can be said about the match against Chievo.

Hence Conte introduced Pazienza to regain the control. It seemed to be working, until Chiellini and Krasic thought it a good idea to give the ball to Genoa.

Conte isn't as bad at subs as he is with the starting 11 IMO...that, and choosing the most effective formation to play.

I feel like if one formation does really well in one game you can guarantee he will use it again the very next game, and once that fails the next game will have an entirely different looking formation. This isn't smart, it's not like he has to change entirely because of a series of injuries, he just seems to change for the sake of it.

433 is the wait to go, forget our useless winger on the right side. Rotate Elia/Esti in the top left and perhaps Mirko/Quag on the top right in the 433. We need our most creative players up, in, and around the box...not on the wings where we see an endless supply of useless crosses that reach no one.

Pazienza is not the type of player you introduce in such an important part of your formation thinking that as limited as he is you will regain control of the game.

Del Piero should have been introduct MUCH sooner than he was. Conte pretty much threw him to the lions in the 90th min.

Yes. Goes back to my argument, his starting 11/formations are a bigger concern to me than his subs.

We need someone in attack that is just heads above of everyone else. The kind of player that makes the right decision and knows what to do. Mirko is out of sorts, Matri or anyone else (bar DP) is able to do that. Our wingers are Ronaldo's at all.

We need a Tevez or some stellar winger to come in January. We need that creative spark to start the fire.

He also played for a team that as a whole did well too. I don't doubt his ability to be consistent in passing, but he isn't the kind of player you introduce to regain control of the game. At least IMO anyways. I will give him the benefit of the doubt since this was his first real test I guess.

no. Conte has tried, tested and shown succesfully that the way for this team to control the game is through the midfield; crowd it with consistent passers and players making movement. Like I said, the Pazienza move worked. IT was an inviidual error that led to the second goal.
