Juve happy with Conte choice
Juventus director general Beppe Marotta has expressed his satisfaction at the work of new boss Antonio Conte.
The latter replaced Gigi Del Neri in the summer and the former Juve captain has quickly impressed everyone in Turin.
“We’ve made an excellent choice and [former Milan and Italy boss] Arrigo Sacchi is convinced of that,” Marotta told Tuttosport.
“He recently told me that, in his opinion, Conte can become a great Coach and could go a long way in his career.”
Conte is just 42 and relatively inexperienced at the top level, but his side impressed in their 4-1 destruction of Parma on Sunday.
“These young Coaches put their teams on the same level as their wives,” Marotta continued. “They dedicate passion, work and love to them.
“Conte is just like that, he’s in love with Juventus and his job. In fact, it’s rare to see someone so meticulous, so alert and with such determination.
“He wants to emerge as a Coach after having done so as a player. He transmits this determination to everyone.
“He has interesting tactical ideas and has the ability to transfer these to his players.”
