Look, this move has failure written all over it. I've felt very strongly about hiring a Capello, or Ancellotti. And my reasoning has been that these guys can run a club and a team without any dependence on the experience or lack thereof, of the management backing it. Ferrara's failure wasn't his inexperience or formation, his failure was the lack of support he got from the people running this club. Which is what will be the case, if Conte is faced with tough times, he won't know what to do, coz there'll be no one to turn to. I don't think Conte can be blamed for accepting the job, knowing how Ferrara ended up. Instead, by that measure, you could also say that he's understood what mistakes were made, and could consciously avoid repeating them. Hindsight here, is a double edged sword of sorts. You and I as fans, can see what a critical juncture we're at, like you rightly point out, but Conte's perspective doesn't have to match ours, and probably doesnt, since he has been a lot closer to this club than we can ever be. And thats one of the reasons why its harder for him to see it the way you and I are. Also, just because Ferrara failed, doesn't mean Conte will. There are a lot of variables here. I'm not saying he won't, all I mean is, the conditions and environment of that failure would be different. I hope I haven't confused you with what I'm trying to say
