Juve are playing stone age football with no speed and no authority
This is what I hate the most in our team, slow game and when I see how long it takes ball to get from Caceres on one side over to Bonucci via Chiellini to Asa, all the space that Asamoah had gets easily covered buy any decent team, that passing is fucking slow and the game in general need to speed up if we want to do more in Europe or to unlock Serie A teams who regulary park the bus against us.

Gave them deserved red card, added 8 minutes to play, but yep, he was disaster, badass logic
You'er the loser that was sure we'd win laughing at all the doubters before the match. Put a massive sock in it and choke on it.

Indeed.

And it was pretty bad how we looked even worse and clueless in attack when they we to down to 10 men.
If we're honest with ourselves, some of the blame here goes to the safety zone 10km/h Pirlo controlled match-speed. He's one of the best passers ever and has unmatched vision, but everything he does is in slow motion, and the team follows suite. While it works in most situations, at times you need to really do things quickly to stretch a team and get them out of position.

Juve are playing stone age football with no speed and no authority. We've been caught out in Europe one too many times. Even against Napoli in the league you could see how dominated we were against a team playing in an attacking style.
I don't really believe in this side's chances to win any "cup" for that matter if it will keep on playing with 3 CB's and 5 defensive mids. It flusters me greatly that noone on this board has any issue with how incredibly defensive minded this team is. I really don't care if it's called 3-5-2 or whatever. Playing with 8 defensive minded outfield players every game doesn't suit a club that likes to think it isn't provincial. But it does play in a provincial style if you ask me...

what? Juve had the majority of the possession against benfica in both legs? is that not authority? is beating pretty much every team this season and the last 2 not stamping our authority? the napoli game was a one off and came at a pretty awkward time of the season, or did you forget how we raped them 3-0 at home earlier in the season? did we not play with authority then?

and the second point... great teams are built on great defences, i'd sooner be defensive yet effective than gung ho and leaving ourselves exposed

If u also add Tevez to the list who perfectly fits into a 3-5-2 then it's so clear he thought 3-5-2 was the way forward when everyone on this forum knew it wasn't after getting raped by Bayern so badly.
Because Barcelona did so good with 4-3-3. :seven:

And no, I don't like 3-5-2.

You are either a)deluded or b) a comformist, or both.

I dont know what kind of sorcery Conte did to you.

And is even more shameful that we had over 60% possesion in both games and we coudnt do shid against a team like Benfica, even with more players on the field for some minutes. Man, open ur eyes. We plain sucked.

And btw, we have been grinding resutls since december...

we've been grinding out results for as long as i remember watching Juve for nearly 2 decades! it's not like we're strolling our way through with champagne football. so in answer to your question no im not deluded but i refuse to part take in this ridiculous witch hunt on Conte for what he has brought to this club perhaps you are the deluded one for expecting miracles out of him. so pardon me if I'm trying to look at things in a more positive light but when idiots here are calling for his head after 2 seasons coaching in European competitions that is just ridiculous, in fact i'm almost sure Ferrara was given more patience and he really was clueless in Europe

Respect for Conte indeed and it's ridiculous to call for his head. He made mistakes in Europe this term, hope he learns from it and mgt to provide him with few better players that will allow him to change system and let's move on from this pointless discussion.

Of course, it wasn't formation vs Bayern. Germans had more quality in every area.

I hope we ditch 3-5-2 next year and never use it again. We started this unfavorable fashion of 3-5-2 in Italy, more than 60% of teams are using it. Honestly I could have never digested the whole concept with WBs, DLP and Bonucci acting as a 2nd play maker.

But the problem is Conte is the one who continued with this stupid formation. So if he continues to insist on this 3-5-2, we can continue to expect Marotta to buy cbs, wingbacks, and cms.

If Conte really wanted to play with a 4-3-3 or another formation than we would have seen purchases in the winger department. This is the biggest reason as to why I don't believe any of those rumors of conte wanting to switch formations, because if it took him this long to realize it than he is just arrogant.

From our 2012/2013 season to our season now our game play has become even more defensive and we concede more goals than the season prior. If we didn't stress the defence as much as we do, then we wouldn't have this problem of not being able to attack. Take our 2011/2012 season and take Romas season now, in both of those teams the attack is was stressed more than the defense and yet they don't concede much goals. We decide to drop back and invite pressure, and its fine if you want to play like that but we don't have pace and we $#@!ing suck balls when it comes to countering. If you are going to sit back and invite pressure and then just grab possession and ball it along the back 3 then what have you achieved? You didn't pressure the other team but instead you got the ball after waiting.

This team not only needs a change in players but the tactics, formation and mentality all have to be changed. If Conte doesn't change anything next season, then he should just go to another team because he seems to be more concerned with the media, learning English, and wanting an experience abroad instead of improving this team.
Correction: we do not drop back and invite pressure then counter attack.

Fantastic post. I sometimes wonder what Juve people on this forum have been watching for the last 30 years... It's in the Juventus DNA to grind out 1-0 wins both in the league and Europe. It's been this way for 30+ years and more important, it was this way during the golden years of Juventus in Europe from 1977-2003, a period in which we won 11 European trophies. We never played this fancy flair football you're all obsessing over.

Anyways. For all of you claiming Conte is a terrible coach and a pussy and a loser in Europe, as several of you have suggested, back up your talk. 1 year ban bet that we make the UCL QFs next year. Should be an easy bet for seeing as if Conte is as terrible as you say he is, there is no way he'll take Juve to the final 8 in Europe for a second time in three years...

So come on, step up to the plate. 1 year ban, if we don't make the UCL QFs for me, if we do 1 year ban for you.
