The sad thing is the mentality he's instilling in the players. If this was a serie a game, their day off would've been cancelled to understand what went wrong, but coz its the EL, he actually has the audacity to say that we were better than on Sunday, which is a load of crap.

It's not about Conte being replaced by a better coach. He has the wherewithal to be a perfectly suited coach to push Juve in Europe, but for that, he's going to have to accept that he needs to papproach these games with a bit more humility and openness. Sitting back and defending a lead at home is a ridiculous approach, but then again, he may well be pacing us to go all out in the return leg, given that it's an Italian team and we know them well. No matter which way you look at it though, we have approached the last few games very poorly, and while I can admit that there maybe a bit of fatigue creeping in, it's Conte's job to prioritize things when we have a 14 point league in the league, which by the way, I don't think will remain till the end. The scudetto race too, will be a lot closer than what it looks like right now, if we move ahead with this approach.

Best coach we have had since Lippi but he is still learning, anyone who thinks he won't be blasting the players behind closed doors is a fool

"The sad thing is the mentality he's instilling in the players"

Okay
Buffon said it himself that we were playing for the 1-0. I would think that's a reflection of our mentality in Europe. More defense, we impose ourselves less, and look to absorb pressure, and the results are there to see, because European games don't work at the same slow pace as the domestic serie a games. I'm not just talking about this game against Fiorentina but across all the opponents we've had in the league.

Also, if you read beyond that line you've quoted, you'll see the context.

We didn't sit back against Gala, Copenhagen and got caught on the counter.
The team can't hold possession because our defenders are slow and not good enough on the ball especially under pressure. We can do that in Serie A with teams sitting with 10 men behind the ball for entire match.

And that is not the point.

Juventus have set high standards pretty much bulldozing through in the league. In the same vein people expect them to do well in Europe. Now you cant say people are spoilt because they expect Juventus to perform at a certain standard in Europe which it isnt doing despite having a strong team.

I think we are the only team which face this issue probably.Tiger in the league,Mouse in Europe.
Because all the lions from the english premier league are cruising in the CL. My opinion, and it is just an opinion, is that Conte needs time. Time for getting the right players we miss - LB, wingers, attacking midfielders, time for experience in Europe... I'm sorry but for me this is just the beginning of his era with us, this is not his limit.

objectively we aren't even THAT good in the league, we got too many luck this season in the league, last 2 matches against fio and milan proved it once again.

and that is THE REAL issue.

and it not just mentality, tactically the current team is still stuck since 2nd half of 2011/2012 season with the same crap displayed over and over again... no variance, no creativity, no progression instead it's a regression from what we saw on the 1st half of 11/12, the exact same weakness against all kind of teams we faced.

I can't buy the bullshit that conte still need to learn.
