Yeah, I read about a boy who idolized Messi who went to Chicago only to get his heart broken. Felt really bad for him. Also related to Barca, when Rosell took over, he closed club membership to people who can't get over to Barcelona at least once a year to renew. Which is basically shutting out foreign support unless they are well off enough financially to make regular trips. So that's left me with a bit of a bad feeling these past couple years & why I sympathize with you guys so much about this.

I just can't figure out why clubs try to market themselves abroad & then shoot themselves in the foot by being counterproductive.
I'd be OK with the annual pilgrimage requirement if they had a separate level of membership for that. In this day and age with the Internet, satellite TV, social media, etc., it's just plain stupid for a team to cut themselves off from any potential fans at any commitment level.

ragazza who do you actually support do you mind me asking? initially i thought you were a everton fan, to Juve to Inter now Barca.
I support Barca but my favorite Serie A club is Inter. But when I said this originally most people just picked up on the Inter part I guess (unsurprisingly I suppose, given what club's forum this is).

I like the Azzurri as well, which is why I was hanging around Juve training sessions. Managed to get a few autographs on my Italia cap.

lol you were the one mad at me for getting Juve tickets and not getting you one

I wasn't mad at you, just a bit dissappointed cos we promised each other that ;)
and that still hasn't to do with overseas fans being mad conte let them down. I agree totally with them and think conte/juve did very bad at this tour and shouldn't only care about the Italian fanbase which is loyal anyway.

to grow and get sympathy after all the bad vibe around juve they shouldn't had played it this way.

Man it's fun to read first 20-30 pages of this thread. So much meltdown back then. One of my first posts
I just hope when January comes and we are at top 3( maybe I'm dreaming, but I always try to stay positive ) with strong chances of winning a title that some skeptics will remember what they had said about Conte.
Now let's stop with hatred. They fucked up this summer but it's all part of the learning process.

i don't even know why Conte is getting the full blame for this, you would think the club's marketing manager would have done something to compensate this matter or release some sort of statement. As i said before Conte's only concern is for the players to do their jobs on the pitch whatever the cost it's down to the people in the marketing department to do what they are meant to do and appease the fans with promotions and opportunities, if they can't even do that right then its the club that fucked up and not solely Conte and they should be the ones to answer the questions

Yeah, same here, if they want to separate domestic & foreign fans into two different things it's not a big deal, but not cut anyone out completely. I mean, I'm moving to Europe next year so it might be easier for me to make a yearly pilgrimage then, but that's beside the point.

It doesn't work like that. When there were cancelled open trainings or cancelled meet & greets, the message from security staff or the Juventus Membership guys or the hotel was clearly that it was at the "decision of the first team staff". That may seem a little like code, but really they hardly minced any words about it: it's the coach's call. And it makes complete sense when you combine that with how Conte slinked away from any fan engagement on this tour as much as he could.

To be honest I'm not sure the club knows they pissed people off. Juve staff didn't hear any of the complaints, only Stanford security did & I doubt they passed on the concerns. And other than on this forum I haven't seen or heard it widely talked about.

I have a friend in Miami who went to the match yesterday, said she saw him & tried to get his attention, he noticed her but kept walking without acknowledging her. It just keeps adding up, that he can't be bothered with fans. It might not have been his ideal location to come here, but he could at least pretend to enjoy it for a few days I would think. I'm sure some of the players would rather go back to their rooms at night than stay behind & meet fans but they do it anyway.

The very first day apparently he did sign some autographs, maybe he thought he filled his quota then.

Swag, all the people who got shafted like that, should file a complaint to juventus. Seriously, explain the situation and go on about it

Hence, bomb the official twitter with everyone, or start a hashtag campaign

The first method has showed many times it worked, and the twitter thing recently had dramatic effects on microsft considering xbox

YOU CANNOT DO NOTHING

conte can expect more problems when we lose vs Lazio :scared:
I expect Juve to do rather well, prepared and concentrated

it is part of their job, in fact fans pay their salary by buying shirts, tickets and tv coverages

Conte wouldnt be the first man ignoring an attentionwhoring women tbh.

The thing with this american tour, is an entirely diffrent situation.

Conte should be let focussed with the squad and winning games. Someone else should be in charge of the PR. He shouldnt do both
