Because he's part jewish? :D
Maybe, don't think tha's it though

Why?

It's not as if he's ever lied. To me, he has always made it pretty clear that he isn't the slightest interested in football :D He loves Formula 1, that's his thing and where he gladly invests. However, the guy definitely feels a sense of loyalty to Juventus due to his family's history with the club. EXOR, with him in charge, has provided plenty of dough for Juventus since 2006, both in terms of paying off debt and strenghtening the transfer-kitty. I think he's been transparent all the way, and never promised anything he didn't deliver on. I trust him.
He seems fake. His smile seems fake, his skin, his hair , everything about him. And about that transfer-kitty, sure Exor helped a lot (I guess), but right now time has come to buy assets that'll bring us further. Do they stop now we're competitive and we're making profits?

It is a self-compromise between generating business revenues and maintaining family traditions. That's what Juve is all about for the Agnellis.

Exor invested heavily and if it weren't for them we could have bankrupted 2 years ago. They subscribed shares which helped us to operate at normal level.

Yeah, except for Andrea I believe. Andrea Agnelli genuinely seems like a true, die-hard fan.

Yep, they kept us afloat and not only that; they kept us competitive. They've played a huge part in our rise back to the top.

Yes. The capital increase a few years ago was necessary (already explained), Juventus is aiming towards being self-sufficient at a level that Bayern is at.

Very true Salvatore. And just to reiterate my point earlier on in response to Gian: I trust Elkann because he's always been very clear about what Salvatore just said. No lies, no bullshit.

"It wasn't an economic issue with Conte. We met at my house, as always, last week. Both of us want to win, we have matching ambitions and we both want to win." - Andrea on SKY.
"Antonio wants certainties from me but I can't give him that. I would also like certainties that we'll win CL next year"... I hope they manage to find a deal.

I can understand that Conte wants certainties and major reinforcements, but in my opinion it would be quite frank, if Conte left after this season, even if Agnelli and Marotta couldn't come up with the desired players. Not every club and management would have backed him up during his trial and the ban. It's not only the club that owes Conte much, it also Conte who owes Juventus and Agnelli.

:howler:

Not every club and management would have backed him up after his trial and ban? Only morons would have abandoned one of the best coach in the world because of one ban. Mind you, Conte would never have recieved that ban if it wasn't for the stupid CLUB lawyers asking him to take the plea bargain.

If Juventus walked out on Conte, the fans would NEVER forgive them.

But yeah, Conte owes the club for taking a shit 7th place team with strikers as Quaglairella and Matri to two consecutive Scudetti

It's undeniable that the club did stand by Conte even when they did not have to. They had no idea if the ban would be prolonged or what would happen - fact is that Conte had only been coaching a Serie A team for a year up until this point.

Conte is great, but the club believed in him and his career will be magnificent because of it.
