I don't know why(if it's psychological or physiological) but it's more difficult for a lefty to play on the right at CB than a righty playing on the left. Maybe it,s due that there are few lefties than righties so the coaches put them on the left while to find them a place they put a righty on the left and they have more time to adapt.

I asked Chiello that on twitter a few years ago when we had the debate and he told me he's need some time to adapt to play RCB. The top clubs don't have the time(weeks, months, years) to have a guy try to adapt to that role.

Also, whenever I see a lefty play RCB they usually suck ass. I remember seeing Samuel play there a couple of times and he looked like a clown. :p

It'd be a problem for someone like Chiellini because he can barely kick a ball properly with his left foot, never mind his right.

I've never understood why people have no issue with playing a right-footer on the left, but baulk at the idea of a left-footer on the right.

I was shot down when I suggested a left-footed partner (can't remember who now) for Chiellini years ago.
Usually the right footed are more comfortable playing with their left, but not the other way around.

solid as his mid is up to the game..and you usually don't rotate d's as a coach (very rare case) though they'll get suspensions so easily. anyways welcome home :D

maybe when BIG Champions league games come up then we can use a sub team like:

storari

isla caceres ogbonna kolarov

pogba marrone

pepe giovinco giacchierini

vucinic

so that main players get a rest
