2. Combining a lineup from two teams isn't a fair way to rate 11 vs 11 ir squad vs squad. F.e., while I agree that in a front 2 Lukaku and Ronaldo would start (and that's about the only thing we agree about here), which would make you think that the attacking firepower is similar, actually Ronaldo as a goalscorer is a head and shoulders above Lukaku, Morata and Martinez are perhaps similarly dangerous and Dybala is way better than Sanchez.

Which is not something I disagree on. Thing is Lukaku easily wins you just as many games in Serie A against some minnows and he does much more than scoring goals and upsetting the team's balance. Lukaku would always start in a combined 11, under any coach with the other spot being Dybala or Ronnie. Their midfield is obviously better and it's not like Bonucci, fossil Chiellini, Demiral or gassed out Alex Sandro would start. Heck even Hakimi is better than Cuadrado who's one of our best players this season.

You forget Lazio's dimension. They didn't qualify for CL for more than 10 years before Inzaghi, and not to the CL knockouts since 20 years back when Lazio last won the scudetto.

He is absolutely of Juve's level, would do very well here.

I think that with Lazio's resources CL qualification is a brilliant achievement, as are the "small" trophies they've won. We as Juventus fans might not care much about such trophies but Lazio are not Juve and for them these trophies do matter.

It baffles me to see how many people ignore the fact we are missing key pieces to make this team work. Without an actual ST, CDM, let alone regista you can not judge this squad as the 'best in the league' or whatever. It's not even close.

We have Morata, and 5 central Midfielders(Mckennie, Ramsey, Rabiot, Bentancur and Arthur) that amount close to 200 mil on transfermarkt. That is more than the total value of some of the squads that have beated us this year.

If you can't make due with any of those as your CDM then change the bloody formation to suit the players you have at your disposal. You don't need prime Kante to win the league. We've won it with worse midfields.

The problem is that this bum cannot get this team properly organized and to play football.

It's amazing how someone with such vision and ability to read the game as a player can be so trash as a manager.

I'd rather have Gattuso in his place. At least the players would play out of fear.

What are you talking about? The current squad is pretty much completely different compared to what they had when he started. He has been there for ≈5 years so that is to be expected.

I feel you're downplaying his achievements here for some reason. It's his first real coaching job and each year he has at minimum reached their objectives and has even managed to win them a few trophies while doing so. He has also improved many of the players he has at his disposal.

Yeah, value and quality often gets mixed up. It's not the same.

Pirlo did change the bloody formation after a very stubborn first half of the season. Thing is every week some bum gives an assist to the opponent. Kulu, Bentancur, Arthur to name a few. It's not his fault. At the time Allegri and Sarri were blamed in the same way. If it ain't obvious we simply lack quality now, it'll never be.

Of course it was different, it's fucking 5 years ago. But he never needed major overhauls. He already had Immobile, Lulic, SMS, Luis Alberto, Parolo, Patric, etc. at his disposal.

I'm not downplaying it. I'm saying they're a better team than before but that's also the quality of the squad and they definitely need to qualify for the CL with that. Last year they massively overachieved and they won a Coppa, other than that it's just ok.

Didn't forget it at all. I look at quality instead of bullshit stories like history. Man United won numerous premier leagues, doesn't mean shit if you don't have the quality. Let's hire Ranieri then because what he did with Leicester makes him the best coach in the world...

Inzaghi is also a counter attacking coach while the whole point of our changes is to get away from that.

They've had a major overhaul, majority of the team has changed.

Yes they signed Immobile and Luis Alberto during his first summer there. One of them was a huge flop for Liverpool and the another one was a huge flop for Dortmund and Sevilla. Nowadays Luis Alberto is amongst the best midfielders in the Serie A and Immobile is amongst the best strikers in the Serie A. Are you counting it against him that he makes players better?

His name is mentioned as our next coach, not as a temporary fix until the season ends. If it is between him or Pirlo for a permanent coach, Id stick with Pirlo. That was my point.
