Both yesterday and today we focused on ball possession. Wow Amazing Pirlo sussed our biggest weakness out, soon we will be masters at passing around the box.

What if we worked the same amount of time on ball possession than we did since the beginning of the season and this is the end result?

I went back for a month and it's remained the same, with the exception of recovery training that we usually have Sunday/monday i.e day after a match. We worked on tactics the odd occasion but possession and ending training with a mini match is a theme.

What they offer is that they at least get the coaching basics right. Is there a coach out there that's not an upgrade over Pirlo?

Maybe but still no guarantees. How many "real" coaches out there suck ass and never make it?

Not saying I want Pirlo but in the situation we find ourselves in just give him another season and see what happens. If we're not going big names then whatever. He might surprise us.

Some of his most valuable assets like Cuadrado, Morata, Arthur sidelined numerous times.

We lost some stupid points against minors, our players just went full retard against goalkeepers.

The referees fucked us multiple times with red carding our players easily or didn't give us penalty we deserved. Those matches should have been won at the beggening of of the season. Those circumstances made sure we start the season as shaky as possible.

Add those things above with Pirlo being inexperienced coach. He didn't figured out his formation and structures until recently,

If we lose Scudeto, we lost it to the first 10 rounds of the league, If we had pre season under Pirlo , we would have been in vicinity of Inter.

I'm sure this guy is much better than this, we have to trust him, he has balls, his teams always go out there and fight for everything, you can see players love him and play their heart out for the team. sometimes it doesn't work cause your squad is crippled with injuries to the point he had to use Danilo as DM or Sandro as a CB or beranrdechi As LB and luckily most of them somehow worked.
We should give him credits for these things. It shows something special is in there that only needs patience.

Win Coppa and guarantee us top 4 and you should get another chance to show what you really made of.

I am fine with Pirlo being coach next season, he's a smart individual, he didn't have much time to prepare this season I'll give him that and I don't think he had much of a say in the transfer market either. That said, I hope he gets the power in the transfer market this summer and bring his own ideas down the plan.

For the simple fact that he was appointed with no real preparation of the squad which affects implementing his ideas to start with and if as they say he's part of med-long project he should have his say in the transfer market this summer unlike last one, this can make a difference.

That's all fair points. However, despite all of that, what he shows as coach is close to nothing. Our squad was never in this shape and with this horrible organization. It's like he lacks basic things to do coaching. If we're counting on someone for a mid-long project then I'd rather have someone with experience and not to use us as a training dummy. This Juve is among top 3 worse Juve's in the past 15 years. Yes, our squad is not that great, but a good coach would've gotten better results. Not just results per se, but performances which are horrid.

He was brought in as a low-budget option to continue the transition into a more "modern" football when Sarri didn't work out and we couldn't attain/afford Pep, Zidane or Klopp, etc.

Whether he's doing a good job is a different story but Agnelli won't give up on his project so easily. So unless a better "modern" option becomes available, or things go really downhill I expect us to be with Pirlo into next season. No Allegri or traditionally Italian coaches like Inzaghi. Maybe Gasperini?

Our team isn't worst than last season. Especially in terms of organization. We concede way less than last season.
The only difference is we lost our most important player. The one who is capable of gathering 30 points each season for his team with his goals, assists and playmaking.

With Dybala available we could have easily topped inter once again.

So after the failure in CL with Sarri + covid, Agnelli underlined the need for change, making the squad younger etc. that also meant he wasn't happy with the money he was spending on those players.

Downsizing and making the squad younger takes time and Agnelli knew it would take more than one season to do it. However I have a feeling that most of his recent decisions are strictly financially-oriented.

I agree, i truly believe with Allegri another final was awaiting. But that's Allegri, to me he's the best thing since Lippi.

Yeah financial for sure. But if it was only about that we could have got Gasperini, Inzaghi or nearly any other coach in Serie A with actual coaching experience.

I don't think it's only 'thesis', probably more so because he's a Juve man, someone who was/is widely accepted, not questioned. The moment he walks in, you know there will be focus on work and nothing else. I think this choice clearly shows what the issue with Sarri was - he had never been accepted and with time rejected by everyone - from players to fans, outsiders and even journalists.

Agreed that Pirlo being widely respected was a factor, or we would have stuck with Sarri. It also made such a shocking decision to hire a complete noob more acceptable to the fans and media.

But if was strictly about continuing with the status quo - the objective of winning the Scudetto and trying our best in everything else - I'm sure Agnelli would've opted for someone else.

It all ties in with why we parted ways with Max, then chose Sorri of all people next.

And Pirlo's tactics confirm this: we gon play it out from the back til we get it right, no matter if it eliminates us from the CL.

It's different this time, it's not only about the result like it has always been with Juve. Pirlo was definitely brought in to help change our playing style.

I have been saying it for months now.
Gasperini would be a great fit in terms of providing a an attacking brand of football while also proven in Europe with... Atalanta... not some sheikh club.

Im not saying he is my favorite choice but I am saying he must be considered.
