I wonder what would have happened if Zidane had started his professional career coaching a smaller club like Sevilla or smtg after leaving Madrid's B team. Not trying to diminish his achievements but man did he get a well oiled machine firing in all cylinders. World class best-of-the-best defense, midfield and attack.

Hope Pirlo can translate his maestroness to coaching and go straight from Juventus Mickey Mouse team to our team.

he also had the advantage of working with coaches like ancelotti while he was only a member of back room staff. that is price less. plus his experience with coaches like del bosque, lippi while he was a player.

The success on coaches both sides of Zidanes first stint tells me that it wasnt a job everyone could do, both Benitez and Solari failed miserably.

Appointing him it's in so many ways an very smart decision by the club.(even more so if he turns out good in his new role also)

All in all i'm just really glad to see him back with us.
