Anyway, how was his sub? Didn't notice or they didn;'t show it, but he seemed very pissed for being subbed? Did he go straight to the tunnel again maybe?

In his defence, he was involved in the build up for Llorente's goal with a nice pass out to Cáceres.

But yes - a bit too lethargic lately. More than usual.

The way Di maria passed him I knew we'd concede.

I love him one of my favorite players ever but he's not himself. We used him for his precise long balls which were assists. This season he offers nothing. I don't buy shitty arguments like "he helps in buildup play"; he rather makes it harder when he's holding the ball for too long. Loses possession too easily.

Against teams that man mark him we should be quick on the sub as he's never going to shake the marker off. Or alternatively we could make pogba play deeper while he pushes further up the field. That would confuse the defensive structure of the opposition.

I thought he was ok, but the man can only really play one game per week at this point. We need to become less Pirlo-dependent. Maybe try a midfield of Asa-Poggers-Vidal

I think this should be his last season with us (atleast as a starter), two seasons ago he was brilliant for us but right now he's a shadow of himself.

Age played a big factor in it IMO....

Not only that, even if Pirlo gave an assist or scored goals every now and then but his overall contribution had really dropped. Even last season it was clear that Pirlo's game had slowed "a lot".

The management refused to renew Del Piero's contract (even though Alex contributed alot in our title in his last season with us). I don't see why they won't do the same with Pirlo this time around.
