It was evident last season Pirlo can not play every week any more especially off the back of 2 International games, this was a game to rest Pirlo for the CL, or introduce him in the 2nd half when people tired if things were not going to plan. Conte needs to rest players better he hasn't really shown he can do that.

Or perhaps just rest him against Copenhagen? I can't say I'd deem it wrong of Conte to play such a world class player in one of the biggest Serie-A games of the season.

Having those crazy vikings have a go at his legs doesn't sound too good, injury-wise. Might just be the perfect game for Padoin the Fierce.

Needs to reset himself, he showed his genius in the last Azzurri match but can't be playing multiple games a week & be expected to be at 100% for all of them anymore.

He should really consider retiring from international football.
The best thing I have read in ages regarding pirlo.

But working on his decition making would do for now. We are always caught with our pants down everytime pirlo loses the ball. I know this can happel and will continue happening, no one is perfect. But sometimes he does it when it could be avoided and thats were im goin at.

You think the seasons before Pirlo was Pissed at Milan that's why he played so well again like, he was god smacked and vented at Milan by reviving top class performance once again; but now he's running on fumes while now all that's left is him being Jaded and has nothing to prove.

A bit of a re-post, this, on my part, but I don't get descriptions such as "terrible, "awful" and "horrendous" tonight. He was good in the first half. Great positioning, even won the ball back a few times, distributed passes well and had a BRILLIANT through-ball to Pogba. His 2nd half was poor, I agree, but I think many are a bit harsh on him tonight.
