For all you people bitching about Pirlo: we just lack talent and personality. No manager can change that. Our team in 2014-2015 is one of my favorite teams of all time. We had Pirlo, Buffon, Vidal, Tevez, Pogba, Chiellini and Bonucci in peak form.

That's the difference.

Not Pirlo.
And organisation and tactics, that's something a manager can change.

While I think a better coach and/or motivator would do a better job at organizing and getting the team fired up the lack of talent is pretty clear.

our current midfield is pathetic and I’m not exaggerating.

Didier Deschamps was not Italian when he was appointed so we might make an exception for Zidane
That's my point. It's been more than a decade since we fired him after being promoted back to A. Since then it's been paisans only as it was prior to that since the 80s iirc

Deschamps was not hired by an Agnelli either.

We played 4-3-3 for the majority of the last season yet we had the same issues we are static team with not much off the ball movement and quick passing or even getting good crosses in the box is an area where we can vastly improve
The thing is our current 4-3-3 would include 4-5 players who didn't play/start last season; McKennie, Chiesa, Arthur, Morata and maybe Demiral. And another who had not been fit in yet in Rabiot... So forget about last season.

The responsibility is Pirlo the buck stops with him ..

The results & performances good or bad will be on him like all managers around the world..

We all love Pirlo, but he is a rookie appointment & no one knows if it will be a success..

All their is to go by is the results & performances of the team..

that bar is obviously set way too high.

this 2020/21 team has been underperforming on a weekly basis, some of our key players are having a terrible season individually, our concentration reminds me of a serie c team, our attacking patterns are nonexistent, and we often lack defensive solidity when playing without the ball. we can't replace the whole midfield during the regular season, but we could - and should - play like an organized italian team, despite all the rookies in the squad, busy schedule or most opponents having more time to rest and prepare between games. bottom line is that pirlo lost tactical battles against giampaolo, stroppa, rebrov or inzaghi (two of those actually lol), with a much stronger squad at his disposal. 2014/15 squad was obviously awesome, but this isn't shit either, especially compared to most opponents we met so far. yet we are still without two consecutive league wins, even with adl's generous help. pirlo himself said before the cagliari game that the adoptation period was over, we had one pretty good match, then we turned to shit again at benevento, an other team fighting relegation. i don't expect us to win the cl or to get 90 points in the league, but some of this season's results are unacceptable even if we don't aim for the scudetto. (and we obviously do.)

I was debating with my best friends (Interista). We compared the teams and its sad how our team regressed over the years.

The defense is worse, midfield non existent. I always thought that midfield is the most important for any team (look at what Bennacer brings to Milan ).

I'm the first for demoting Pirlo or sacking but maybe its not all his fault ...

(not talking about gameplan and tactics)

Pirlo or no Pirlo, fuck this midfield. Everybody included. There’s not a single player good enough for a club of Juventus stature.

No creativity, no individual skills, no real abilities, no grinta or fire in them. Can’t even make easy passes let alone open defenses and connect to our attack. It’s the most uninspiring set of players I’ve seen in a Juventus squad.

Honestly fuck the management for allowing this issue to be going on for so long and doing nothing about it.
