The problem is that Del Piero is still our best player. He's much slower now but he's still a master of the game and he's still our leader, noy only as a captain, but he's also our leading goalscorer and assistman.
We sure have to think about the future 'cause he's 34, but you just can't spend 20m eur on someone who's supposed to be a direct replacement for Del Piero, at the time when Del Piero is still our best player.
I really want Cassano here, he's great, but that's exactly why i think of this situation as a big problem. That way, even if we play with a trident, we will have 4 great players, who simply must play and who simply can't be benched. (one of Amauri/Trez in the center, with Cassano, Giovinco and Del Piero being the other 3 players).
On the other hand though, i wouldn't want Cassano to play for Inter or Milan.
Bah, it's way too complicated , i don't want to think about it much. The best scenario would be to strenghten the defense and midfield this summer, Cassano to stay with Sampdoria, and then we can buy him for season 2010/2011
