Juve targets emerging Monday 1 June, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus are weighing up their transfer targets but could also be set to lose one of their promising youngsters according to reports in Italy.

The Bianconeri are looking to strengthen their squad as they prepare to hire their new boss. The first name on their list is Gaetano D’Agostino.

The Udinese player would be ideal to partner Momo Sissoko in midfield, as well as newly signing Diego, but the Friulani have set a high price.

However, Juve’s left-back Paolo De Ceglie could be heading out the door after it was revealed that Liverpool have cast their eyes over the Italian youngster.

Liverpool are seriously interested,” explained De Ceglie’s agent Carlo Pallavicino. “It all depends on Andrea Dossena and whether they will sell him. If they do then they would like to replace him with De Ceglie.”

Goran Pandev could also move to Turin this summer although Lazio President Claudio Lotito won’t let go of him easily.

Goran has already expressed his wish to go and Juve would be a good option for him,” mused Pallavicino.

“But there are also several Spanish and German clubs interested so the Bianconeri better be quick.”

The last name on the Bianconeri wish list is an expensive but intriguing one – Eduardo Salvio.

The 19-year-old Argentine has been linked to the Old Lady in the past and has made himself known following the South-American U-20 Championship played in Venezuela.

“Salvio is a great player with a fantastic future ahead of him,” noted his agent Augustin Jimenez.

“Juventus seem very interested but they will have to beat the competition of many other Italian clubs who are just waiting for the right moment to make an offer.”

Genoa, Palermo and Inter are also thought to be interested.

D'Agostino? Yeah, if Tiago and Zanetti leaves. The only one who should play next to Sissoko is our new superstar Marchisio. Love that guy.

I've been thinking,we have plenty of teams relegated from Enland,Spain and of course Italy..i'm gonna put a list of players from those teams who were relegated and could be well at least who are those that i think dont deserve to play in the lower division of their league..I dont think all of these players are good enough, but there maybe some who can be a great backup, and would come cheap(hopefully)

Relegated Italian clubs:
Torino: obviously there is Rosina,Aimo Diana,Barone, and Gasbarroni..I would only rate Rosina to be the only player who could play for Juve,I know it will be next to impossible to get him, but i just love it too much when Juve hurts Torino, and what better way to hurt them than to get their captain, but im not having high hopes anyway..so next team
Reggina:I could only think of two players,Barreto and Brienza..for juve i think Brienza could be a good backup, certainly better than marchionni..
Lecce: Antunes,Conan,Tribocchi..i dont think any of them could be a good backup for juve.

Relegated Spanish teams.
Real Betis:Ricardo(GK),Mehmet Aurelio,Mark Gonzalez, again i dont find any of these players good enough for juve
Numanci:to be honest,i dont know them well enough to make any list.
Recreativo:I would only say Maidana is a pretty decent player,i think he is on loan though.

Relegated English teams.
Newcastle United:plenty of players i could see leaving from here,Coloccini,Bassong,Barton,Guthrie,Geremi,Lovenkrands,Jonas,Owen,Martins..howeveri would say only Coloccini and Jonas Gutierrez could be a good backup hell even a great back up for Juve..
Middlesbrough:Tuncay,Downing,Huth,Afonso Alves,O'neill,Mido,Pogatetz. From these players,i dont think any of them could play realistically move to Juve, maybe Pogatetz, but he is no better than Mellberg.
West Brom;Carson(GK),Marek cech,Meite..agian i dont think any of them could move to juve

So basically, i found that there cheaper options in the market and these players could very well leave, especially when we are looking for backup players for Camo,Chiellini or just getting rosina for the sake of it..if i was to choose, then its Coloccini,Brienza for marchionni and Jonas Gutierrez for the left back..

Betis has one of the better midfielders in La Liga, and their best player, in Emana. Box to box mid, who did enough to try to save their asses, but wasnt enough at the end.

we've spent 2 seasons signing backups...enough
Ok,yes of course i would rather Juve buy a WC player who could be in our starting eleven right away, and from our team it looks like only if juve buys a RB n LB,cos all other positions for me are taken,so therefore would lead to be back ups anyway..lets take a look at who juve are rumored to buy,Pandev=back up,D'agostino=i would certainly put him behind marchisio and Diego, therefore backup..who else are we looking to buy,Dossena?wouldn't you rather have Jonas,a national team player..

plus these last two seasons, juve didn't spend on backups,i mean Secco planned to play Tiago as our starting CM,but he flopped..Poulsen last season was meant to be the replacement of Tiago, again flopped(although i dont think he flopped, only not enough chances)..so we were actually looking for starters last season, only not looking on the right places, and with Secco as our guru.. However,i do still agree with you that it is better to buy starters, but i just find it difficult to watch when juve has to play with Mellberg when Chiello/Legro is injured,Salih/Marchionni when Camo is injured, and of course i just hate it when i have to see Moli play..

Yes he's a very good player. In the Ligue he was absolutely stunning, i remember watching Toulouse just for the sole reason that Emana was playing.

I didn't say splurge. I was thinking more along the lines of improve, upgrade, modify.

We have to get back Criscito; he is better than anything we have and he is versatile. As for a RB, I am sure there are decent options that are not too costly.
