I really dont see ribery happening as we have been linked with these other players much much more. Munich wont give him up easily as he is their best player.

It would be cool if we can get Cassano but somoene else as well. Not just him. Cuz he is not suitable to replace Nedved. Just cover for DP and eventually be his replacement.

Hamisik would be good if the club intend on moving away from the 442 and going 433 which i would like to see... like the national team. We defn have the strikers for it and can convert back to a 442 with Camo and Giovinco on the wings when needed.

but i would ideally like to see something like this next season if we sing about 3 players:

DP/Cassano-----Trez/Amauri
---------Giovinco------------

Hamsik---Sissoko----Marchisio

Moli/DC--Chiellini---Leggro---Zuniga/Zebina
-----------Buffon------------------

Bench: Poulsen, Zanetti, Salihamidzic, Mellberg, Marchionni, Manninger, Andrade?, Ariaudo, Iaquinta (might be used to get hamsik??)

Uli Hoeness, general manager of Bayern Monaco, is not sure that he can get Franck Ribéry to stay in Germany. "Our goal is to do everything possible to keep Franck - Hoeness said in an interview with the newspaper Bild - but it will be a tough battle because there will be clubs that will make him offers. The most important thing is to show how strongly we want him to remain with us, because even a doubt could be exploited by his agents. Franck and his family are happy with us. But it is clear that his agents have a potential interest in a possible transfer". According to the market radio the French player is closely followed by Juventus, along with other big European clubs, including Barcelona.
not sure if it has been posted.

could ribery be the "great champion"?

yea and where'd you put camo? in the garbage?

Cassano would be the end of juve, he is everything that is antijuve..his arrogance, unprofessionalism and play are all well suited for a midtable team like samp but can't lead la vecchia signora...its just not meant to be.

Ribery or Silva this summer or bust! I'd favor Silva in order to save enough cash for a big man in DEFENSE!

Not just that but in case we've signed cassano plus an average winger to replace nedved playing the 4-4-2 formation (most of the money is likely to be spent on cassano's deal). We'll have even more attackers in the team (creating many problems in that area ) and we'll be showing Giovinco (indirectly) the exit door out of the club. That would be IMO the shitties summer that i've witnessed for the past 18 years since i've started supporting this club.....Hope non of that gonna happen :xfinger:

Really doubt it, i think we're leaning more and more toward cassano to be the so called "our great champion". As for Ribery, i got a feeling he'll end up in england with man city probably.
Cassano and Ribery are different players though. And the demand for a Nedved replacement outweighs that of another supporting striker.

Camoranesi is turning 33 years of age this October. As much as i respect him and understand that he is a key to this current team performing well and creating in the forward half, it is clear that he is not the future of the club.

I'm in two minds with Cassano, sure he has all the talent but he brings a lot of crap with him.

Ribery will be too expensive, Silva is a good player but again, not sure if we are capable of signing him in the end.

I think Hamsik would be more in line with what our management could get.

You lack a lot of confidence. Last transfer season i expected Hamsik, but now i expect more.

So far we invested on our forward line and center midfield and we added some free cheap players on our wings and defense.
It is only logical that we will now invest on our wings and defense and only add cheap/free players on offense and center midfield.

That would not only keep our team balanced, but would also upgrade our team a great deal, since those places seem to be our greatest weakness.
The lack of quality there is obvious for both Juve and non Juve fans.
Even most of the coaches and football men can see that...
We need to form a competitive compact group, our way of adding the squad depth before the actual starters has been unorthodox, but we should try and minimize the damages that will reflect the impact of these choices in the future, by preventing situations and problems that are bound to appear!

I just dotn agree on that. What would one star player have achieved this season? I mean we have been forced to use our entire range of CMs. I dont think any juventini expected Tiago to have been used as much as he has. I really think they took the best approach by aquiring a wide, competive squad. Imagin how bad it would have been with just 3 squad players less. I mean just look a bringing in Manninger, I think were all happy about that.

I am not saying that we should not improve the defense and our wingers, we all agree on that. I think youre forgetting the realities that we faced last summer.

1) With the CL we had play a lot more games. Not having enough depth could kill you, even though your first eleven may be a little stronger.

2) Who should they have bought ? The market was extremely difficult. I dont think VDV was possible, since he preferred RM. Alonso - yea but that would not have made a great difference.

We got promoted, came 3rd and are now 2nd by a margin and did well in the CL, I think we have got reason to be satisfied and optimistic on behalf of our board.

This year it seems that the possibilites are a little better, Valencia in trouble and Ribery and Bayern seem open to Negotiations. Diego certainly wants to join one the TOP TOP teams this year. Tottenham is not really competing, and maybe opening for Modric. However if Silva stays in spain with mama, and Man C and Chelsea let the billions roll, we might just not be able to get what we really want. I say lets stay optimistic and see what happens.

I've heard that Ribery has startet to learn italien :juventus:

Nah, Cronios just doesn't get that. He doesn't get that what we needed is security in these last two seasons. We needed to achive CL participance after season 2007/08 and we needed to survive a season played on three fronts, while securing another CL participance in the meantime. We needed depth most of all and we needed to "discover" players who will be part of a great Juve after we stabilize our situation.

We simply couldn't take any risks in these two seasons (and tbh, we weren't financially powerful enough to buy a 30m worth player, plus after what happened to us in 2006, this kind of players didn't want Juve neither).

In these last two seasons we did stabilize our financial situation, we achieved our goals and we did create half of the future world class team. We have Buffon, Chiellini, Sissoko, Amauri and Giovinco who can easily be part of a CL winning team. Now we need to add 4 more such players in the following 2 summers (we don't really need 11 world class players in the starting XI. We never had such a team. We always had a Pessotto, Zebina, Tachinardi in the starting XI).
What we need is 9 world class players and 2 Zebina's or Tacchinardi's (players like Poulsen, Marchisio, De Ceglie etc).

If after 2 seasons we add 4 more top quality players in the starting line-up (and now we finally have more money to play the game on the market), then in the 5th season after Calciopoli (as promised) we'll have the world class team that will be one of the main favorites in every competition. We'll have a strong starting XI and a very good depth.
Of course, this doesn't mean that in the next season we'll just play the competitions for the sake of it. By adding more quality this summer we can compete with the best.

What Cronios is right about, though, is that more attention should be paid to the defense. With one great CB and one more top class full back (we can survive with one "not top class" fullback, like De Ceglie, Molinaro or Zebina, who works his ass on the pitch and covers more ground than the others), and considering how we have the best of the best at the goal, our defense will be set.
