He still has to perform, regardless of the talent around him. There have been many quarterbacks with loaded rosters that didnt perform, and they werent 4th round rookie draft picks. They are not winning in spite of him, but in no small part because of him.

And Romo had that same amount of talent around him, so.............

All I need now are for the 49ers to trade for him next year to convince me that they are being run by internet trolls.
not sure there are trolls out there who'd do any worse than the current front office ...

seriously, though, only an utter moron of a GM would trade for Romo under these circumstances - 20+ mil in cap hit for the next 3 years, iirc, and him being 37 yo and so injury prone. 'Boys would have to take on a good part of that contract and not ask for much more than a 5th to get something done, imo.

btw is there any bigger flop (contract wise) than cutler?...
don't know about bigger but would put Sam Bradford in that same category. Like Cutler, for whatever reason, NFL GMs and coaches just keep thinking that he is actually good enough to take them to the promised land and keep flushing draft capital and tons of moneys down the crapper, chasing shadows year after year.

Cutler is not a flop, the Bears are. And I don't recall Romo having that same talent. This is the best overall Cowboys team ever, you'd have to be crazy to think Romo would have a worse record than Dak.

Wat?

This Cowboys team sucks balls compared to Aikman-Smith era Cowboys.

Not to mention Staubach era Boys, which my Pa says were amazing too.

i stood up for cutler too much and he dissapointed me twice as much. the consistency fucks us. of course our o line helps him stink too. the injuries are too much man..

Obviously I mean the best under Romo's time. And as far as O-line, defense, RBs, WRs go, a debate can be made about this one. My point is, Dan is not a better QB than Romo. They're not even close. Dak is not losing games while Romo will win games.

Cutler is the best qb in franchise history, i hate to agree with ALC but he's really not the main problem here
i don't wanna argue too much because i follow nfl for 4,5 years but the running game not the passes and the defence made the bears special. so not too many thanks to the former qb, maxie got to a sb final. i know besides cutler our o line stinks and the injuries are killing me but the 1st thing ryan pace needed to do is to get a young potentially very good qb. from all those fuckin picks.
