Cutler is not a flop, the Bears are. And I don't recall Romo having that same talent. This is the best overall Cowboys team ever, you'd have to be crazy to think Romo would have a worse record than Dak.
You don't recall Romo having this offensive line, DeMarco Murray, Dez Bryant, and Jason Witten?

Really? Did I miss the memo that said that Romo hasn't played since 2009?

Obviously I mean the best under Romo's time. And as far as O-line, defense, RBs, WRs go, a debate can be made about this one. My point is, Dan is not a better QB than Romo. They're not even close. Dak is not losing games while Romo will win games.
17 touchdowns, 2 Interceptions, a 67% completion percentage is not game management. That is winning games.

i don't wanna argue too much because i follow nfl for 4,5 years but the running game not the passes and the defence made the bears special. so not too many thanks to the former qb, maxie got to a sb final. i know besides cutler our o line stinks and the injuries are killing me but the 1st thing ryan pace needed to do is to get a young potentially very good qb. from all those fuckin picks.
I'm in agreement with you

Cutler the best QB in the franchise's history?

Either you are underrating Jimmy Mac, or the Bears have had the worst litany of Quarterbacks since the beginning of time

Ok. So I looked at the numbers on Jim Mcmahon.

Oooof. I know that numbers don't tell the story but wow.

And don't get offended at this response to Cutler being the best QB in the team's history.

Yeah, after I replied, I thought that was probably what you meant. I grew up hating that Aikman-Smith Cowboys team, but they were so damn good. Always annoyed me to no end. Can't stand "America's team".

and he got injured and he's out for the season.

my question is, if we have the 2nd worst record (browns can't beat us) can we get a 2nd 1st round pick? and hope for a qb?

Well, the first thing you need to figure out in a couple of weeks is how bad you need to be to lose, at home, to the 49ers in order to get that 2nd pick :D

The second thing is that this QB class is not that good. It's not even as good as last years. DeShone Kizer, DeShaun Watson, and probably some no name that pops out of nowhere are at the top of this class.

yuck.

Cutler is the best qb in franchise history, i hate to agree with ALC but he's really not the main problem here

Overall, he never had all those pieces at the same time. The defense want great when the O/line was and vice versa. Dez had the fractured foot.

You can't really tell me you believe Dak to be a better QB than Romo who I personally would place as the tier below Brady/Manning/Brees. He's like Rivers, very underappreciated. Look at his numbers, they're insane.

I believe that Prescott is the better QB now. As far as career, that is impossible to tell at this time. But what I can say is that in all the time that Romo has been the starting QB, the Cowboys only had 2 years (12, 13) where they had less than 5 pro bowlers on the squad. The talent with the Cowboys, by and large, has been there. But he has actually been their own worst enemy in the post season
